Vittorium AT Watches
So recently, I am on the phone with a particularly enthusiastic Italian man who is telling me about Vittorium. He speaks to me like Vittorium is his child - no his family name - in a particularly enthusiastic manner that only Italians can seem to have mastered. Vittorium is a brand that until recently was totally unknown to me. Which makes sense as there isn't a lot of advertising and more or less little presence so far in the US. Vittorium has been around for a long time actually - but only recently started to brand their own watches - prior to such being a supplier for other brands. So the Swiss brand explain by the Italian brand has my attention. And who better to convey the qualities of the watches - which themselves have an undeniably Mediterranean style to them.As almost totally Swiss made watches, the pieces have a good prices. Right now I would like to discuss their collection of watches known as the AT. The AT is segmented into four versions with a number of color combinations
Introducing The Hamilton Pan Europ, Vintage Inspired And Budget Friendly (Details & Pricing)
Back in 1971, Hamilton introduced the Pan Europ, one of the first automatic chronographs on the market (using the famous chrono-matic / Calibre 11 movement). Here we have a new non-chronograph watch inspired by that original design and bearing the Pan Europ name. The new Pan Europ still takes advantage of the cushion case shape and the bright colors but offers an overall simpler package. That it's relatively light on the wallet only adds to the appeal. The new Pan Europ is housed in a distinctive 42mm cushion case that looks just like what you'd find with many of the classic 70s racing chronographs. The integrated lugs are short and thick and it looks like the top of the case is brushed with polished bevels and edges. The aluminum bezel insert is marked in 15 minute increments with single minutes marked from 0 to 15 like what you might find on a dive watch. 2 OF 2 There are two dial color choices, one blue and the other grey. Both feature bright white Superluminova
Bring a Loupe: A Gorgeous Rolex GMT, A Rare Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar, A Rolex Tru-Beat Refe
This week will be dedicated to watches with complications. We start big with the Patek Philippe reference 1526, the first perpetual calendar produced in series, mostly during the 1940s. We will also look at a Rolex GMT with a killer bezel, as well as a Rolex Tru-Beat with a lovely ticking second hand. Finally, we've got a couple of examples of everyone's favorit complication, the chronograph, from a Heuer Carrera to a blue Hamilton Chrono-Matic. This is your Bring A Loupe for April 8, 2016. A Patek Philippe Reference 1526 C A Legendary Perpetual Calendar With Moon Phase 1 OF 9 The 1526 is one of Patek Philippe's most mythical references – it's the first perpetual calendar wristwatch ever produced in series, from 1941 to 1952. Throughout those 11 years, only 210 examples were produced and most had yellow-gold cases. So finding a rose-gold example is always pretty exciting, especially one in this condition. From the hallmark's depth on the c
