Roger Dubuis 43mm Golden Square Watch - Available On James List
Looking at the past a bit I want to bring your attention to the Roger Dubuis Golden Square. Not the contemporary model, but the one from a few years ago. In a 43mm wide square case, the watch screamed luxury in a way few other watches have. Bold and loud, the watch still in good taste. People that wear one suddenly feel a bit more important, but you aren't sure why. In fact, I believe the watch may still be in production, even though there are newer Golden Square watches available. While the Golden Square came with Roman or Arabic numerals, I think the Roman numeral version is the king when it comes to appearances. The Arabic numeral version is arguably easier to read, but doesn't have as impressive a face.In some respects the watch looks like a (more) metrosexual Cartier. I think this may be THE one....
I only own stainless steel watches and gold watches, I have no two tone watches and I do not yet own an AP...I think I may have found my next purchase...simply gorgeous timepiece!!!!
Pressure testing Nautilus,Aquanaut
Question ,to those who are regulalry expose their PPs to water ,how often you guys bring your watches to pressure test ,yearly or more often ?Have they ever failed or passed everytime.Do you know if PP use wet or dry testers in their SCs?I do it once a year but I feel it a bit overkill. Thanks for you input
How many are ideal (for you)?
Getting to the point where I think I've accumulated too many watches to enjoy them all.Not sure what to thin out, though I'm just not a fan of having stuff sit around. Usual rule is if it sits, out it goes but then I've worn things that have been sitting on the winder a while and get the nope, not ready to let this go just yet feeling. Asking for opinions here to see where people land on this: do you have an ideal number? Or just get as many that you like and can afford? What is the rationale behind the #, if you have one?
Tudor Black Bay Authenticity
Hi,I'm currently in the process of acquiring this Tudor Black Bay. I would just like to ask for your help to check its c authenticity. Overall, it looks good to me. I've done some research and the rose logo, crown, hands and bracelet look legit. Let me know please if I'm missing anything or if there's anything else I should watch out for. Thanks!
