TAG Heuer’s Silverstone Chronograph Lives Again in 2010
To mark its 150th anniversary, TAG Heuer will re-issue the Silverstone Chronograph in February 2010 as a limited edition piece. Originally introduced in 1974, the Silverstone is instantly recognizable by its cushion cut-shaped case. Named for the famous racing circuit in England, the Silverstone followed the Monaco, incorporating TAG’s patented technical breakthroughs that made waterproof square and barrel-shaped cases possible. For the Silverstone, TAG Heuer's design team softened the Monaco’s angles. Both the original Monaco and Silverstone housed the Chronomatic Caliber 11, the first self-winding automatic chronograph with micro-rotor. Before the Caliber 11, chronographs were hand-wound and watchmakers placed the crown at 3 o'clock for easy access. Caliber 11 freed TAG Heuer's designers from this constraint, and Jack Heuer decided to place the crown of the Monaco and Silverstone at 9 o'clock. Buzz Aldrin Celebrates Moon Landing With Omega
On June 3, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Omega CEO Stephen Urquhart celebrated the 40th anniversary of the first moon walk at the Omega flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were the first humans to set foot on the moon when they made their historic Apollo 11 moonwalk on July 20, 1969. The Omega Speedmaster was the first and only watch worn on the moon. To mark the anniversary, Omega has launched the Speedmaster Apollo 11 Moonwatch, a limited edition timepiece inspired by the original watch worn on the moon.

Submariner date or no date, gmt batman
Deciding between these 3 for my first rolex. The no date looks cleanest but it makes no sense for me to buy a no date watch when I know I use my current watch to check the date at least 10x a day. Between the other 2 I am surprised the gmt list price only 400 more despite having the additional complication and all I note that the sub is superior in is depth for waterproof to 300m vs 100m. Am I missing anything? Thx
