Watches NEWS
Is the 26120st being discontinued
I saw a 26120st at the AD in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Incredible watch. It felt very good on my wrist as well.I'm not in the market for a new watch at the moment, but the salesman said they wouldn't be getting anymore of these in. Are they being discontinued? The sticker price was 73K AED (about 22,300 USD).
SS Royal Oak Chronograph 26320
Hi guys. I've recently become more intrigued by the 41 mm ROC in steel with the white dial. Any sense of how widely available these models are (new), and what sort of discount I could expect to get from an AD? Thanks in advance for the help!
Golden Ellipse 3738
Hi,Is there a secret trick to get get to the case back to see case number and ref on the 3738 other than stripping the hands and dial and loosen the winding stem? I mean when you snap the case the winding stem is attached to the back and not the front part like you would expect. Seems like an awful lot of job to do a little thing but maybe I am missing something very obvious...Henkan
A drink to Patek Philippe!
As I kick off my holiday vacation with a drink, who says PP only goes with champagne or wine?! I like mine with vodka on the rocks... slightly dirty.
Purchasing 2 Platonas - Thoughts?
I currently own a WG Sub and a BLRO and love them.I was looking to add to my collection so I went to an AD and actually tried on both the regular version with brown subdials and the version with all glacier blue dial and glacier blue subdials with the diamond markers.I loved both.I have an opportunity to purchase both of them at 30% off MSRP.I wanted peoples opinions (I already PM Dr. Tom and appreciated his thoughts!) about whether the watches are too similar to have in one collection or are they different enough?I really thought they looked different enough. Finally, I don't flip watches so these would be keepers so I am not worried about losing money selling them on the secondary market.I know I could get a Platona and DD40 in platinum or maybe a Platona and a Patek ....but I really prefer Rolex sports watches above all others...so I wanted everyone's thoughts.Thanks.
