Cartiers Cartier dArt series
Wildlife from starfish to birds to tigers is a popular theme in this year's watches with decorative and artistic dials, particularly in Cartier's Cartier d'Art series and Vacheron Constantin's Mtiers d'Art collection. We've compiled a gallery of timepieces from the two brands so you can download these miniature masterpieces for your desktop at a size that does justice to their intricately executed dials. Better ceramic...
I've just red that the ceramic of the white diver, is a super ceramic, 9 times harder than steel, and at 1850 vickers when the ceramic of the black model is at 1350 vickers.Won't make me change my mind and go for the white but if what they say is true the watch is almost indestructible. That makes quite a few divers to choose from, even if they are being discontinued for some. Here's the pics of the ones I know of, which do you prefer?I prefer ceramic, then FC then tantalum, then SS, black and last white dial ap_image.2696478.jpgap_image.3251538.jpgIMG_9011.jpgaudemars-piguet-qeii-cup-2014-royal-oak-offshore-diver-limited-edition.620.316.s.jpgL1040322.jpg
Recognizably of RO in the wild
All - thinking of getting a 15202 in the near future. My ONLY reservation is how recognizable the watch may be. I consider myself a very low-key non-ostentatious person; I don't like attracting much attention. I live in an affluent, low crime area of the suburbs, so I'm not sure I'd ever get mugged for it but you never know! AP has become a brand frequently worn by celebrities, mentioned in rap songs, worn in Entourage, etc. Plus the amazing polishing makes the bracelet shimmer like a diamond. Have you gotten much attention wearing your RO? Any from non watch collectors and enthusiasts?
Need a little help pinpointing the age of a ROO
Can't seem to get the following cleared up in my research. Is an I serial a watch that was produced in 2014 or does the I serial straddle 2013/14?I'm assuming that stamped paperwork will confirm the age of a watch.I'd be grateful if someone could confirm what I should expect to receive in relation to the box and papers for a 26400 SS and 26401 RG - a pic of a full set would be outstanding.Thank you and Merry Xmas
116500LN - black or white if you already have two 116520
I've seen this question before but I have different assumptions. I currently have daytona 116520 - both black and white dials. I am getting the daytona ceramic (116500LN) very soon.Which one should be more different watches from the daytona 116520 white and black that I already have? Please share your thoughts.Thank you so much.
