Hands-On: With The Glashtte Original Senator Chronometer Regulator (Live Pics & Pricing)
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of visiting Glashütte Original's manufacture in Saxony, and I was impressed with what I saw. This watch is a perfect example of what makes Glashütte Original a brand to watch. Released at Baselworld 2013, the Senator Chronometer Regulator is a modern take on the regulator longcase clocks that Glashütte was known for in the nineteenth century and both the dial and movement are worth taking a closer look at. 2 OF 14 The Glashtte Original Senator Chronometer Regulator On The Wrist Starting with Glashütte Original's 42mm Senator case (in either red or white gold), the Chronometer Regulator is big enough to make the regulator layout highly legible while still sitting nicely on the wrist. Much bigger and the watch would feel clunky, smaller and it would be difficult to read at a glance. Also, at 12.47mm thick, the watch feels properly proportioned, neither thick nor thin. 3 OF 14 Closer Look At T
I finally let the 5650 Breathe!
Today was the day to open my Advanced Research 5650. I was surprised this watch was an application piece and even more shocked when it was approved. The certificate, like the 5575, came with my name already printed on it from Patek Philippe. The 5650 is a totally different animal from the 5164. It feels like three or four times the weight giving it a different vibe. It is a beautiful watch! Here are the pics comparing my 5164 and the 5650 along with some outdoor pics. How many SD4K owners will be upgrading to the SD43 after seeing pics?
Pics were released yesterday, and they are already flooding the internet. I'm sure many who proclaimed their disdain for the new SD43 are now experiencing some bit tongue-in-cheeks after seeing the pics.I wonder how many SD4K owners will be flipping for the new upgraded SD43?
Should i wear my new 116610LN SUB in the kitchen
Hello everyone I'm new here, Ive always loved Rolex I own a a bi metal Date-just on a jubilee bracelet but never wear it at work due to the fact that its a dress watch and that the gold would stretch.I'm going to buy a new 116610LN Stainless steel SUB I want this to be my everyday work watch, being a chef in a busy kitchen it will be exposed to hot oil, grease, grime it will be submerged in hot dirty greasy oily water when washing dishes, it will be on my wrist when i'm cleaning the fryers, it will get knocked about. Out of work it will be in the bath with me, in the shower in the sauna/steamroom, in the pool, in the ocean, in the Jacuzzi it will go everywhere i go. I know the watch is tough and i know some people would call me mad for using it the way i want to, but the only way i feel i could enjoy such a beautiful watch is to have it on and never take it off.would it last has anyone on this site ever used there sub to the extreme and never taken it off? i would love to see some pic
