Hublot King Power Los Angeles Lakers Watch
In 2013, Hublot announced a new partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team as their official timekeeper and presumably watchmaking partner. At the same time, Hublot announced a watch collaboration with Lakers star player Kobe Bryant and watches-dealer went hands-on with the Hublot King Power Black Mamba limited edition watch for Kobe Bryant here. For 2014, Hublot now releases a watch exclusively for the team with the Hublot King Power Los Angeles Lakers timepiece.Swiss watch brands Hublot and Audemars Piguet have for a while been competing over visibility when it comes to attracting American basketball fans with the resources to purchase high-end luxury watches. Back in 2011, I discussed the beginning of what was a turf war for the best basketball teams and personalities between Hublot and Audemars Piguet. While Audemars Piguet has players such as LeBron James on their ambassador roster, Hublot has people like Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant. Interestingly enough, while both b
Tourbillon Watches In A Nutshell; Expensive, Fun To Watch, Serve Little Purpose
If you know all about tourbillon watches, then none of this should be surprising or new to you. If you don't, you might have a couple of outstanding questions as to what a tourbillon is, why prestigious watch makers say you should want one, and why they are so expensive. This article is not going to be an in-depth analysis or explanation as to how a tourbillon works in detail, or all the different flavors, but it will shed enough light on the topic for you to participate intellectually in any topic related conversation. The tourbillon has been around for a long time and was patented by watch making master Abraham Louis Breguet in (who founded Breguet watches that is still around today and owned by the Swatch Group) in 1795 and patented 1801. That patent has long since expired. Tourbillon is French for "whirlwind." This is because the mechanism literally spins on itself. Breguet's ideas was essentially to house a clock within a clock. While this characterization is a bit off realistica
Spotted at Work!
Crazy little hobby of ours. I was paying for lunch today when I noticed an awesome vintage Pepsi GMT on Jubilee on the wrist of the person next to me. Told him sweet watch. He thanked me and said it was his grandfather's. How cool is that? Looking forward to passing my Sub on to my future child one day. Sorry for the bad pic! Just wanted to snap something quick as we were both taking our orders to go.Josh

Is this 18038 DD's dial legit?
Hey guys, I found a good deal on a 18038 that I'm considering buying even though I already have a 118238. The seller sent me a couple of pictures and the bracelet is in good condition for being an old watch. My only is concern is the dial. I don't think factory diamond dials came with the Roman numeral track, but with lume plots instead. From what I've seen the Roman numeral track belongs to stick dials. I've looked at so many watches that I tend to notice when something is off but I know some of you can tell right away. What do you think? Worth it or pass?https://ibb.co/jvBgEb
