SubC hacking question
I have not been able to find any topics on that and I know this might be a stupid question buy could some one smarter than me tell me if the following action damages my movement? When I pull the crown out on my 114060 to set the time I usually try to hack it at 12:00. But from time to time when I pull the crown out, it hacks at 11:58 for instance. What I do is I give it a l gentle push back in just a bit till tension to get the second hand moving again (not all the way till click) just to adjust those 2 seconds and let it go at 12:00. Does that do any harm to a movement or is it allowed to do it like that?
Rolex Explorer 39mm or subc Nd
Got the Okay from the wife to get a new Rolex...next year. Should I go with the Explorer 39mm or subc Nd. I like how the Explorer flys under the radar. I'm afraid I would crack the bezel on the sub. I have a breitling with a bezel full of scratches and gouges and afraid the ceramic would crack.
Finally a duo
I know that 2 years between purchases is a like decade on TRF. These past two years have given the opportunity to really enjoy my GMT IIc. I have come to appreciate how versatile it is. I was really happy with my one watch but I have been meaning to get another watch. I have put a lot of mileage on my GMT. It made a lot of sense to go with the sub for me. It was pretty much a toss up between the sub and GMT when I was deciding to get my first watch. For the second watch, I was going back and forth between the LV and the LB. After trying them both on, I realize that I am not ready for gold just yet. Of course just my luck the LV is a hot item but the AD came through within a month. So here finally, I have a duo! There is room for another watch but it will take probably take another 2 years. I just need the Daytona to complete my trio - land, air, and sea. 3 is the magic number since I have 3 kids. 4 would be the magic number if I had 2 kids!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
