Introducing The Breitling Chronoliner, A Modern Aviator With Vintage Nuances
Breitling has?been rekindling vintage-inspired pieces for a while now. Last month, we showed you the in-house Transocean 1915 Mono-pusher Chrono, and before that a 38 mm Transocean Chrono. But, let's not forget that Breitling's legacy as a tool watch applies as much in the air as it does on the sea. Its latest release, the Breitling Chronoliner, is an aviation themed watch that evokes images of that?bygone era. When Breitling says that it drew inspiration from vintage pieces?in designing this aviator, it's only natural that we focus on our favorites. If we put on our?vintage?goggles, we don't have to look too hard to notice piston pushers and a?black bezel on a?panda dial C and that means a Breitling Co-Pilot as far as vintage aviators are concerned. We covered one here?not too long ago. Granted, the registers are at 6, 9, and 12 instead of 3, 6, and 9 and the bezel is of the?24-hour variety?instead of 12, but maybe the Chronoliner's looks are inspired by a medley of older models. Need advice about ROC
I just purchased a ROC 26320 steel with silver dial. I love the watch, it is my favorite at the moment in my collection and is my first chronograph watch ever. I am a little irritated by the fact that the seconds hand on normal watches is the chronograph seconds hand function on the AP. So unless I have the chronograph running the large seconds hand does not move and sits either where ever I stopped it or at the 12oclock position. What do you guys do about this, did you just get used to the seconds hand not moving? Do you just allow the chronograph to constantly run so that the large seconds hand is moving? Is this how all chronograph watches function? Please advise!
Going to Kuwait for a year and need a new Omega GMT
Guys,I am going to Kuwait for a year and would like to purchase an Omega GMT. I need suggestions. Also it will need to be something that looks good on a NATO band as I will be installing it on one. Also it need to be waterproof to at least 100 meters. I love Omega's but just do not know them well.Any suggestions greatly appreciated.I have my Speedy, but don't need a Tachymetre as much as the GMT while there.
My First Patek (5712)
I picked up my highly anticipated 5712 this week and what an experience. I couldn't be more thrilled with the look and feel of it. It took a year and a half for the call, but it was worth it. The sales experience at the Patek salon was beyond perfect, and I was treated to champagne and an overall purchase encounter befitting of the brand. I was also gifted a patek tie, a travel case, a free service, and a pair of patek gloves. Now back to the watch. It's definitely much lighter and more fragile feeling than I'm accustomed to wearing. But then again I've had one model of Rolex or another on my wrist 99% of the time. It goes without saying that the watch is stunning. The bracelet is among the most comfortable I've ever worn, and the dial changes color depending on the lighting, which is sublime. I'll have more to say after I've had a few weeks worth of wear. But for now I will sit back and continue to stare at the dial. What a beauty. Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk
