Another Modern Classic From Bell & Ross: The Geneva 126 Chronograph Watch
This is the chronograph version of the venerable Bell & Ross Geneva 123, which I discussed here. The pre-BR-01 Bell & Ross is a testament to the design finesse of the French watch firm. Although the Geneva 126 is merely a bi-compax chronograph version of the watch, the look is very different. The beautiful number fonts remain, but with the 126 you have more of them. The Geneva 123 have the 12, 3, and 9, while the Genevea 126 clearly has more numbers displayed. The 126 trades off some of the attractive symmetry of the 123 for a more masculine military look. This watch really is a combination of classic military watch design and old world formality. Size is a conservative 39mm but they wear large given the thin bezel.Inside is an ETA 2894-2 automatic movement with the a chronograph module. This is of the highest grade chronograph enabled movements available, and is visible through the case back. The chronograph pushers are very easy to use, especially without looking on this model
New AP lover!
Just wanted to introduce myself to the group. My love for watches started when I was 18 and for Xmas my father bought me a Omega Seamaster. The watch didn't leave my hand for the next 10 years. The watch was bulletproof and I have yet to own a better watch. Then of course I moved on to Rolex and Panerai. The last month I wanted to up grade my collection so I purchased a AP ROO Diver and RO SS, PP 5711 Nautilus and Breguet Marine. In my collection I have to say the Diver and IWC arethe most fun to wear. The 15400 beats the 5711 by beauty in a long shot, the best looking watch I ever owned.
Incoming! 3573.50.00
The wife purchased a gently used 3573.50.00 for valentines day. Looks to be arriving tomorrow! This is my first Omega, and I'm quite excited! Pics to come shortly.
Seamaster bracelet needs servicing...advice..
I have a seamaster speedy style' bracelet from a 2254 which needs servicing. The clasp is hard to close/open & one pusher is also very soft to press.I would also like to have all the pins changed/checked in it for peace of mind. I would like Omega to do the work for meThe problem is that I am located on a small island with only one Omega AD (whose tech staff I don't really trust for reasons beyond this post). Could I send the bracelet directly to Omega Switzerland and what would you think would be an approximate cost ? Thanks for any advice !
Curious: fully stickered with a fake movement?
Have any of you ever heard of someone buying a fully stickered Rolex with box and papers from a grey dealer that ended up having a fake movement?
