MB&F And Alain Silberstein HM2.2 "Black Box" Watch
Sometimes I wait a bit after news "breaks" to discuss a topic. That was the case with MB&F's new HM (horological machine) 2.2 watch. The timepiece is a further extension of the quite pricey luxury HM2 watch. MB&F has given the watch several version done in combos of metals (gold, titanium...), ceramic, and of course colors and styles. I've worn a few of them, and admit they are sorta cool. One of the biggest criticisms of that watch is that it was unwearable. True, the the wide box is tough to wear on your wrist, but it isn't exactly "unwearable" (like the DeWitt WX-1). From a practical standpoint MB&F watches are wearable art. Few people would actually wear and HM1, HM2, or HM3 watch all the time, but I for one quite appreciate them. Max Busser of the brand is a marketing master as well. He really knows how to get people excited about his watches, and items such as this limited edition of 8 pieces HM2.2 watch are a great was of doing that. For me, this collaboration with wa
Everest Watch Straps, Sporty Straps For The Active Rolex Owner
So you've just bought a new Rolex. A Submariner Date, perhaps. It's a dive watch, a tool watch, and you want to do what you were meant to do with it: take it to the nearest large body of water, strap it over your wetsuit, and get it wet. 1 OF 4 But you, like most Rolex owners, want to keep the bracelet in as close-to-pristine condition as possible. If only there were a strap you could put your Sub on, to preserve its minty appearance while still allowing you to wear it while diving, boating, surfing. Enter Everest Horology Products. 2 OF 4 There are dozens – if not many more – aftermarket strap companies, catering to the watch enthusiasts who don't wish to remain married to the straps or bracelets their watches came on. Hodinkee is no exception. But what Everest does is something not many – or, really, any – of these companies do: they have a proprietary solid end link system, which seamlessly integrates the strap to th
Awesome LE AP
I am shopping for my first AP and came across this watch. I was really excited for a second thinking that this was all ceramic, but it isn't. Blackened DLC steel case with black Mega Tapisserie dial, white arabic numerals, tachymeter, hands, Crown and push-pieces in the same white.I hope AP comes out with this watch in all black ceramic.

Finally joined the club
Hi all,I'm so excited to share my new baby with you all today. I've been researching my first Rolex purchase since October when I got the go ahead from my wife to purchase a Rolex to celebrate my 40th birthday a bit later this year. I tried some on in October and was still unsure which model I preferred. Having a 7.5 wrist, I was unsure if models like the Explorer I 39mm, 40mm Submariner and GMT II, or something larger like the Explorer II 42mm would fit best. After much research, hours on the forums, more hours on Youtube reviews, I started to settle on the Submariner 114060 No Date model. It has the functionality (GlideLock, timing bezel and all brushed bracelet) and clean looks I was after. Then, as we all know, availability tanked. I wasn't able to find anything at local ADs through November to present. With Basel coming up and rumors of new models and price increases circulating, I decided that in order to get the watch I truly wanted, I was probably going to have to pounce as soo
