Hands-On: With The New Tissot PRC 200, A Swiss Automatic Chronograph For Under $1,000 (Live Pics & Pricing)
Chronograph movements don't come cheap. For a brand to develop their own requires years of research and testing, and bringing in ebauche movements can still be pricy. Tissot has the distinct advantage of being a member of the Swatch Group and more than any other brand in the group it develops movements along with powerhouse producer ETA. Combined with volume production, this has enabled Tissot to release the new PRC 200, a Swiss automatic chronograph for under $1,000. 2 OF 20 Dial Details On The PRC 200 Looking at the PRC 200 you'll see you get what amounts to a pretty bread-and-butter chronograph. There is a date window at 3 o'clock, a 6 hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, running seconds at 9 o'clock, and the 30 minutes counter at 12 o'clock. The centered chronograph seconds hand has Tissot's "T" as the counterweight and a minimal tachymeter scale sits on the flange around the dial. Both the black on white and white on black color sch

Only 150 made why are they so cheap? I think it's a beautiful watch. Also it's not the most basic complication it has chrono at least. I'm confused at why this is priced the way it is. Sub 20k. Someone enlighten me please and thanks!
Paul Newman Speedy
I finally gave my Speedy a Paul Newman / panda conversion. I replaced the black dial with a silver dial (with black subdials); the white with silver hour minute hands; and the white with an orange sweeper (thought about doing a black sweeper, but I think the orange really pops); I left the white subdial hands the same. I got all the parts from Otto Frei's place in Oakland. Here are the before and afters, let me know what you guys and gals think:Omega.jpgPanda.JPG
TT Sub arrived today and I need your thoughts
My A serial TT Sub arrived today and I'm pretty happy with it. It was serviced by Rolex in 2015 and came with all associate paperwork and the original warranty.
