Affordable Hand-Engraved Watch Movements By Artur Akmaev
Although smartwatches will inevitably continue to make advances in both technology and functionality, there are some aspects to them which will never be attained through circuit boards and touch screens. Chances are that you will know this already, but allow me to emphasize?it?nonetheless: the world of watchmaking is much more than simply telling the time; what makes a watch so special to many enthusiasts is the character enveloped behind each timepiece. The art of watchmaking is one of the few crafts still around today which thrives off the fine art of handcrafted goods; and no matter how beautiful and functionally advanced a smartwatch might be, there is something truly exceptional to be said about a piece which has been carefully crafted by a true artisan. Today, we are looking at something that is most fitting of that description,?with the affordable hand-engraved watch movements by Artur Akmaev.Although the supply of master engravers and enamel painters is not as substantial as it
How does this 15400 fit me?
I finally found an AD that allowed me to take some pics. Please disregard the pink gold and dial color, this is only for sizing considerations. How do you think the 15400 fits on my wrist? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New incoming!!!
There was a thread a few weeks ago on collecting strategy and on what the actual iconic watches were. This made me think. Some of the watches I own came up quite often, i.e. the JLC Reverso, the AP Royal Oak and the Rolex Submariner. Others I own aren't that iconic, so I figured the next watch I would get would be another iconic piece. The budget for a random watch purchase wasn't a PP Nautilus unfortunately, so I was looking for something iconic that fit the random watch purchase budget. So here we go, an Omega Speedmaster Professional. Pretty much one of the most iconic watches out there. I've only had it for a day, but I'm liking it very much so far. The hesalite is really cool and I have ordered a NATO and Zulu strap which are, I think, the coolest on the Speedmaster Pro. Just a quick iPhone pic (I'll add more later):

Please help me authenticate this GMT Master
A buddy of mine was given this watch...he isn't a watch guy so he's looking to move it. No original box, but it does have the Rolex Service Box. I only have this one picture available right now.Does anyone see anything that jumps out at them? Also hoping to get some clarity on what year it is from? Assuming it is authentic I would also like to know what price I should offer. Thanks so much for your help!
