The North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking celebrated its first graduating class on April 2. The Class is comprised of students who have completed a two year program and will receive a North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking Watchmaker Certificate. The North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking (NAIOSW) opened its doors in 2009 and is part of The Institute of Swiss Watchmaking (IOSW) which was founded by Richemont in 2008 in partnership with Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program (WOSTEP). Resizing Bracelet at AD?
I'm going to need to have a link or 2 taken out when my 15300 gets here at the end of the week. Just so happens we are taking a trip this weekend and will be close to a AP AD so I wanted to check it out anyway. Any idea what they will charge to resize a bracelet? I don't want to pay a outrageous amount to turn a few screws, but none of the places locally are competent enough to do that without jacking something up.Thanks!
It this tomuch?
What do you think can I pull this off? By the way it's 45mmimage.jpg
Rolex GMT V Omega GMT
I dont know enough about watches to say anything technical, but these are two great watches. The Rolex GMT II Pepsi is a stone classic. The Omega Seamaster GMT is a classic in waiting.Lol X and Perdu have both done great reviews of the Omega recently, so I will just add a couple of my own observations.....Bezel....Rolex wins easily. Both in the colour combo and ease of use. That coin edge bezel will never be bettered !Lume...Omega wins by a street. I was always surprised at how poor the lume was on both my Rollies. Now I've got an Omega I can actually see the time in the dark as well.Date feature....I loath and detest the Rolex cyclops, so its a fantastic change to see the date without having to angle the cyclops just right.Size and weight....the Omega is slightly bigger (41.5mm to 40mm) and heavier than the Rolex. This is no bad thing, but is not really a factor one way or the other. Its only when you place them side by side that you really notice it.Caseback.....the engraved caseback on t
Dec. 9th Rolex or bust
So my Girlfriend and i are planning to take a trip to NYC on the 9th.She wants to take me to see the Tree (i have never gone before) and this trip times up perfectly with my time to buy my Sub.We plan on going to the diamond dist. before the tree and looking at a few stores.I have been waiting for a years to do this and to be honest i'm pretty nervous because i don't want to come home empty handed.I kinda feel like after hitting all the big stores at WTC and 5th ave if i cant find my Sub i might just say screw it and pick out something else.what do you think my chances are of finding a sub nodate in the city this close to Christmas?
