I'm generally quick to answer when people ask me to name my favorite modern watch brands; without hesitation, the list includes F.P.Journe. This is not to say that I'm a fan of everything the brand produces, but I admire the way the manufacture applies a certainly polarizing and idiosyncratic design language consistently to every model in its range, from the most exclusive models to its entry-level pieces.More than one collector I have met has described F.P.Journe watches as "poetic" in both design and engineering, including a particularly memorable collector who, over glasses of rosé in the courtyard of the 14th-century Swiss château he of course redesigned himself, waxed lyrically about the peerless way the brand balances "technology and poetry" in its designs. (Bear in mind that this was during an event sponsored by another watch manufacture, but this was of no concern to him considering the elegant Resonance he sported on his wrist.)So, need

Hello AllJust wanted to share a few photos of my new Breitling Navitimer 01 Limited Edition watch I just picked up today. I love the new larger size (43mm) and transparent case back. Check out the nice font the date has! With their new in house movement, increased size and its good looks, I think Beitling has done everything right with this one! Do you check accuracy on your watches?
As you may know I started with Rolex used to be,3135 and especially the 4130 mvmnt is pretty accurate if well regulated and staying so for years.My 5712 w the cal 240 was okay initially 1-2s/day but seems we are after the honeymoon phase ,during the day is very accurate but it does 5sec w dial up overnight and 1-2s if left on crown up or down.You may say it s time to regulate however i m afraid we talk about weeks for a simple regulation job-which is about 5minutes if you bring a Rolex to the RSC-.:-(Any experience with the rate stability of Pateks ?do you think it s better to live with it and wait for a couple of months to see if it s getting worse.Thanks for your input
