First Omega advice please.....
Hi all.Considering diversifying a little from Rolex: I have the opportunity to purchase a new Omega from a UK AD at a great discount (family in the business) and would be interested to know what people advise as a keeper/daily wearer.I am drawn to either a Speedy or Seamaster and would value peoples advice on what best to spend the money on.I'm in the habit of wearing six digit Subs or Exp2 so something similar, but maybe a bit more dressy. I prefer a steel bracelet. I do care about retained values to a degree so something that is going to keep its interest over a few years, and provide some investment potential.Any advice appreciated
Water resistance of older Seamasters.
I've been looking at some of the 60s-70s Seamasters as a first foray into expensive watches (Hey, no laughing- I'm coming up from Invicta!), but I have one simple question. Is there a central chart or something where I can find what water resistance rating the older Seamasters had? I'd imagine not much, but it would be nice to know if I could leave it on when washing my hands.
Patek pressure test
Hi allWill my 5711 have to be sent away to pp for ages, or will a boutique do the waterproof pressure test and remedial necessities??If its just testing for waterproofing and maintained waterproofing, not a full service, I'm hoping its a less expensive and less timely process? Thanks
Would you buy a SD43 in gold?
My thoughts recently is I would like to try another yellow gold Rolex for a little fun. I owned the 116618lb and it was great (I have even considered looking for another). However, truth be told I want something a little bigger. My wrist is only 7 inches but I guess the 40mm case just feels a little small recently - I have been wearing a lot of AP 41 and 42mm recently so that makes sense.I think a SD43 in YG/WG or even platinum would be an amazing edition to the Rolex lineup. There is no 42-43mm sports model in the Rolex line in PM (only the YM at 44mm). Seems like it wiould fill a GAP (I am considering the skyD as a dressier watch like the DD40).what do you think?
Your most beaitiful Rolex?
Okay so I cheat and use my Tudor. The two tone, brushed gold and dial do it for me. Along with the rivets. We hear Rolex called a lot of things but lets see some shots showing true beauty of these time pieces.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
