Corum Chronograph Tourbillon 47 Seafender: How The Admiral's Cup Lost Its Rank
My favorite family of watches in the current collection of Corum products is the Admirals' Cup. Based on a now defunct boat race, the original Admiral's Cup watch began in the 1980s and was the original yachting watch to wear on or off deck with your boating shoes and skipper cap. What has marked the Admiral's Cup collection for so long is the 12-sided case and the use of colorful boat pennant flags on the hour markers. The latter has been mostly depreciated as the colors no longer exist on most new Admiral's Cup watches. Many new Admiral's Cup watches are still rather cool. However, with watches like the Chronograph Tourbillon 47 Seafender (that in its own way is interesting) I feel like the original theme and personality of the Admiral's Cup collection has officially been thrown overboard. We actually debuted the Seafender versions of the Admiral's Cup watches when the Seafender 47 Tourbillon GMT was released in 2011. At 47mm wide, Corum decided it was fitting in the yacht watch colle
Omega Our vision
Hello,Has any of you already seen the new Omega De Ville Hour Vision ?I find it gorgeous with it's case in sapphire glass.I really wonder how it actually looks. Thanks for your testimonies.
5980 collection pointer!
A couple of weeks ago i was offered a 5980 in trade for my 5164A plus .For one reason or another that did not happen but i ended up selling the 5164 anyway as i had decided i really wanted a 5980.As it stands now i have the chance of another one with a black dial which is my preferred option. However i still need to lose one of the collection to make this happen and keep going round in circles as i wear them all about the same,so here it is.I want one of these. But need to lose one of these.I could keep them all but would have less funds in the bank than I'm comfortable with.Alternatively i buy another 5164A and be done with it!Any input would be appreciated as i'm going crazy as none of them are 'That' easy to replace. Thanks,Craig
Anyone knows?
If I sell my Panerai with the plastic card issued to my name and the warranty does not overcame is still valid for the new owner? Thanks
Red/Blue color of Pepsi is perfect !
...As far as Rolex is concerned.I read everyone questioning (moaning) about the off color of the new s/s Pepsi (and the WG one as well). Has anyone stopped long enough to consider that maybe, just maaabybe, that this might be exactly the colors Rolex want to put out. I for one think so. Rolex isn't going to say, Well boys, its not exaclty what we were aiming for, but gosh darn it, its pretty damn close. Lets roll it out! Not only for the WG, but a second time with the s/s. They had since 2014 to get the colors right. The fact that the color is exactly the same tells me that are happy with the tone of the color and is exactly what they want. Some may not like it, but i believe this is what Rolex was trying to achieve. And as far as they are concerned, they nailed it. Ceramic and aluminum are two different material and will not produce the exact same color. Ever. Im not a lover of the ceramic pepsi, nor am I a hater. I just don't think Rolex is regretting the colors.
