Now, the brand has announced a new PVD coated version of the Urwerk EMC, dressing up this beast of a watch in a stealthy, matte black color. Now, where the Urwerk EMC watch stood out was that it mixed mechanical timekeeping with a digital accuracy checking device that would allow the wearer of the watch to check?the accuracy of the watch at any given moment, without having to connect the timepiece to an external machine or any other apparatus. New Magrette Chronographs: The Moana Pacific Chrono PVD and the Regattare Chrono
Magrette just announced the release of two chronographs to their line of watches. If you are unfamiliar with the brand, I recommend checking out Blake's review of the Magrette Regattare 2011 for a primer. But basically, they are a New Zealand based watch company that makes a mix of cushion-bodied watches ranging in price from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Their new chronograph models continue the sport and racing aesthetic of their watches, add in an interesting movement, and manage to maintain an attractive price point.The two models are the Moana Pacific Chronograph PVD and the Regattare Chronograph. They are very similar watches, but have some distinct aesthetic differences. Both are built on the same 44mm cushion body, but the Moana has a black PVD treatment, while the Regattare is stainless. They have very similar dials, the primary difference being that the Regattare has a Tachymeter index on the outer edge, while the Moana has a minute index. Both utilize the styling

My new watch itch is slowly but surely coming back. This pair is about the only watches that really caught my attention in Patek's 2016 baselworld release. Curious to know what's your pick?Cream / white dial or Black dial? Have yet to seen it irl of course but live videos and pics on various watch blogs and IG is looking promising.

Hi everyone . Long time no post, but it's time for me to return as I need your input. I'm getting ready to trade in my current ladies datejust 31 and am leaning towards the 28 with the aubergine face. I hadn't planned on trading in but we were looking at watches for my husband and I happened to look down, see purple, and I was done. Hard to resist my favorite color! I feel that I'm ready to go smaller in size now (even though my eyesight is fading - ha!); I'm just liking the more elegant look vs. sporty look these days. It'll also be my first time with the jubilee and fluted bezel; both previous Rolex's have been oyster and smooth.Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has also seen the watch and what your thoughts are on it. I plan on keeping it forever, but as I also said that two watches ago I've learned never to say definitely forever!
