Close-Up: The Award-Winning, Bauhaus-Inspired Nomos Tangente Watch
Nomos Glashtte, a watch brand very popular in its native Germany and now making a big push in America as well, takes justifiable pride in its flagship timepiece, the starkly designed and multiple design-award-winning Tangente watch, which applies Bauhaus design principles to its dial.Watch aficionados are likely familiar with the German watchmaking town of Glashtte, and the two major luxury brands that hail from there, A. Lange & S?hne and Glashtte Original. (Another German watch company, Tutima, has recently moved some manufacturing there as well.) Nomos, founded in 1991, has a few aspects in common with the “big two” Saxon watch brands, in that it makes its own movements and incorporates traditional Glashtte elements into them, such as three-quarters plates and Glashtte wave and sunburst decorations. However, Nomos is different in that its watches are by and large much more affordably priced, with steel cases and mostly simple complications. The Tangente, firs

Diver on Bracelet
So I didn't follow my own advice to fellow member orangejuicy and traded my 15400 for the diver with bracelet. It was the addition of the bracelet that sealed the deal! I have to say that it was a wise decision for me. Jordan, sorry buddy. Your turn will come! Crappy picture follows!
One Year of 5905P
One year since I picked this up and I wear it daily, a perfect modern Patek in my opinion. And I'm wondering if the other two pieces I'm interested in would get any wrist time, I'm waiting for a 5524G pilot and considering the new 5320G perpetual. Opinions? I'm thinking the Pilot for weekends but am having a hard time with when I'd wear the vintage looking perpetual. Do you guys think it would work as a daily with casual attire, jeans and a polo, my uniform?
Buying Rolex in California Oregon or Nevada
Hi Everyone,I am new to the forum, I live in Manchester UK and was looking to buy a new Rolex. However many of the ones I like have a long wait here in the UK.I am visiting America at the end of Next month (23rd March 2018) and will be in LA, Palm Springs, Laughlin and Las Vegas. I am hoping to get a SS Skydweller, A SS Daytona C or a Hulk?Few questions.1) What are the chances of me getting one of these watches in 7 weeks time when I am over there? If there is no chance, I am back in September, so would that be more realistic?2) Are there any discounts off list price on the watches I like?3) Will I have to pay US sales tax, even though I am a tourist?4) Will it be worth the very long drive to Oregon, where there is no sales tax?the US/UK prices are similar, I am just hoping there is better availability in the USA, or if I can get a discount or avoid sales tax, it does work out slightly cheaper in the USA.Thanks in Advance!
