Hamilton Basel 2016 Preview
Following up our coverage of Rado's Basel preview the other week, we got the chance to check out a small amount of what Hamilton will be bringing to the party come late March. A staple brand here at w&w, Hamilton tends to drop a few gems per year, while continuing to bolster and evolve their core lines. At the preview we saw many things including an entirely new line from the brand, which is very uncommon for them, some nice new pieces for their Khaki military-inspired lines, a bold new diver and a ladies watch that might end up popular with guys too. Across all of them, there was one more change, and that was to their branding. Hamilton has brought back their H logo from the 60's, a move I think no Hamilton fan will complain about. Let's check em out.ChronographicOne of the first watches that caught our attention was a new chronograph addition to the Khaki Field line. Taking the styling of their more recent fields, which have well balanced dials with slightly emphasized 12, 3, 6
Gifted an AP Royal Oak Limited Edition
Newbie here. I was just gifted a Rose Gold Royal Oak LE from 1992 by my dad as a wedding gift but I can't find any information on this model. Was this a good year? Is it valuable? I would like to get it refinished and have some maintenance performed by AP soon. Hope to pass this on in the future :)
5167 versus Smurf Trade and Response
Good morning TRF!I am confused. I have a Patek 5167a on Steel Bracelet with full box and papers from 2013 and it was serviced in 2015 before warranty expired.I also purchased the black rubber and deployant from AD. I also purchased brown rubber from AD so I pretty much have 3 watches. It is great. However with a PAM 112, a Rolex 1675 I have 3 sports watches with dark dials and interested in a blue dial.Anyway, I keep seeing prices from dealers from $22k to $25k for used and preowned 5167s with half my accessories and then I saw someone on TRF selling a Smurf for $22.5k cash. I thought I would see if a 1 to 1 trade was even fair. His response was as follows Good morning. I'd certainly consider a trade but checking other offered prices on eBay and chrono24, I couldn't get to 1 for 1.At this point with prices as they are and rising, isn't a 1 to 1 trade is fair right? Unless people are buying at a significant discount to list prices on TRF? Can someone please let me know how much negotiati

Could help myself - Hulk
So I got a 114060 about 3 weeks ago. Loved it, but really wanted a hulk for a couple years. The hulk was the watch that had me lusting after a Rolex. Found a local jeweler and traded in my Subc plus cash. I finally have one now!! Now I want a Batman....I seriously have issues.
