Review Limes Endurance 1000 GMT3
When one discusses the desirable qualities in a watch, there are many potential factors to take into consideration. Build quality, looks, price, complications, etc And these factors can get very specific depending on one's needs, such as helium-escape valves for divers.?It's not often that a watch comes along that covers a particularly large amount of those potential needs, and the Limes Endurance 1000 GMT 3 is one such watch. At 1,195 Euros, or about $1,575, the German made Endurance features an ETA 2893-2 TOP grade GMT movement, a 1000m water resistance, sapphire crystal, an incredibly sturdy build and a unique three time zone design. While the price is certainly more than the bulk of watches we discuss, the Limes Endurance offers substantial value by being a "multi-tool" as well as packing a top grade ETA movement.Limes is a German brand that is run and manufactured by the Ickler family out of Pforzheim Germany. Question? Navy strap on Safari
Hi Guys, I'm thinking about buying a navy strap for my safari. I'll have the original safari strap, black rubber a black crocodile and a brown rubber. Haven't seen the navy in real life. Anyone tried it on a safari? How is the blue color, to blue to match the black and white on the safari? Thanks for your thoughts
My Culver City service center experience
Just wanted to share my experience with the Culver City Omega Service Center.I have a PO (2500C) that I bought in 2009. The crown stem tube became stripped and it wasn't possible to screw down the crown anymore. In addition, it just needed a CLA since it was gaining about 8 seconds a day.I went to an Omega AD (not the one I purchased from, but another that I've got a great rapport with). We shipped it to Omega in Culver City and I recently got it back.Sadly, the watch no longer winds through the rotor. After a full manual wind, and wearing it everyday, the watch would stop shortly after two days. Went through that cycle 3 times and even kept a log of when it was on and off my wrist. Also, the crown could be screwed down, but it didn't have any 'spring' feel to screw it back down; it was just flush and you screwed it in.The AD I went through took all the right steps and it's back to Omega to be fixed, but still…?what a disappointing first experience with Omega service. I really wa
Alton Brown loves his Omega...
Speedy! I'm a fan of his work, never really noticed his watch until I ran across this the other day...online.wsj/news/articles/...19172230404850
Anyone havle any comparison pictures btwn 42mm PO and Rolex Pepsi?
Just curious if anyone has any side by side shots. I owned a PO 42mm (loved it) but it was a tad too large on my skinny wrists so I'm thinking the 40mm rolex gmt (non ceramic) might just be the ticket.I'd greatly appreciate any pictures. Thanks!
