Junghans Meister Telemeter Watch Is Going For Distance! And Going For Speed!
With their latest timepiece, the Meister Telemeter, Junghans is indeed going for distance, and speed. And yes, I couldn't help myselfC when I realized the watch had both telemeter (for distance) and tachymeter (and speed) scales, well, that particular Cake lyric popped into my head (and managed to stay lodged there for a good bit as well). Fortunately for you and me, there's more than just a catchy pop reference to talk about with this watch. At first glance, I quickly gathered that this was indeed retro-styled. Further reading reveals that it's actually retro-inspired as well. Junghans has a history in timing, with their first tachymeter scale watches appearing in in the 1930s; jump forward to 1951, and you find watches from the brand that had an additional telemeter scale added on.It's from this 1951 model that the latest release draws inspiration. This shows up in how the dial is arranged, which is in part driven by the movement inside. In the 2014 model, it's the J880.3 movement tha
The Appeal of Royal Oak Offshore 42mm's
What is going on with the ROO's, in terms of the 42mm's? This is not a flame thread or me bashing on 42's, but in general it seems as if the 42mm is losing its appeal and prices are being driven downwards. Personally, I am still very passionate about certain models, but a lot of the 42mm off shores look almost outdated to me. Does anyone feel this way as well or am I alone here? Side note: My (very orange) 44 Novelty is on the way and I've been living in this subsection of the forum
NWD (new watch day) :)
Hello boys and girls, First of all sorry for opening a new thread but this is exciting!!!!!Just wanted you to know that today I am SUPER HAPPY for the reason that this baby arrived..Just to let you know that, in Cyprus there are no AP dealers of ANY kind and I have only ordered the safari out of pure enjoyment of watching its photos online and the various reviews (yes i know its silly, but its one of those times that when a watch grows into you, then you HAVE to own it!)Anyway, all that i have to say is that this watch is UNBELIEVABLE, every 5 minutes I tend to look at it and believe me its not because I want to know what time is it, but because this piece is amazing. So, if anyone is thinking about buying a safari, then DO IT.The creme bezel alongside with the brown strap is absolutely stunning and it sometimes fool you between a sport watch and a suit watch.. it is simply a perfect balance!needless to say that, officialy, AP is no.1 (at least for me)Anything you need to know about it
Model # of the 45.5mm PO
I have never really known until I looked it up. Is the model number 2208.50.00?45.5 mm, steel on steel, Orange bezel?
Could Rolex remove the cyclops and just make the date window larger?
This might be the dumbest question in the world, but why doesn't Rolex make the date window 2.5x larger and remove the cyclops? At this point, it won't happen because the cyclops is such a Rolex icon, but is there something wrong with doing that originally?
