Hands-On: With The Panerai Radiomir 1940 Three Days GMT Oro Rosso PAM00570
Before I start, I would like to state that this watch is big. Nay, HUGE. If you are a vintage 36 mm case lover (male or female), you may want to avert your eyes. 1 OF 6 The Radiomir 1940 3 Days GMT Oro Rosso (PAM00570) was released in April of this year and is the latest special edition from Panerai. It is the first Radiomir 1940 to feature the new caliber P.300/10 movement with 72-hour power reserve. With only 300 pieces in production, it is the newest addition to the Radimoir 1940 family and it is a good mix of flash and function. 2 OF 6 First, a brief history of the Radiomir 1940. Originally created in, you guessed it, 1940, this case was the next generation of the classic 47 mm Radiomir case, which had wire lugs. The Radiomir 1940 was created after the Italian Navy tightened up their regulations and requested a prototype that could remain under water for longer periods of time and with more extreme conditions – hence the larger reinforced lugs.Th
Incoming... Been waiting for this one.
Finally get my incoming thread on this one.Should be here tomorrow.
Introduction and my two Pams
I have been posting in WUS for a couple of years already, and joined this Forum a while ago, but never participated until now. Travelller mentioned that is great here, and because of him I will start visiting...As of today, I own a 112 and a 356. Love them both, and now I'm dreaming of a 512, so that I can go to my office wearing a Pam (which I do once in a while with the 112).
Blemish on new Rolex Day-Date
Hello,I bought a new Rolex 118238 Day-Date on eBay from a known and trusted seller 10 days ago. Today I discovered two blemishes on the dial, one is a small hair stuck inside the paint on the word Swiss at 6 o'clock. The other blemish is on the minute track at 5 o'clock where there is a tiny glob of paint on the track marking it fatter than the rest.I contacted Rolex service center, and they said it would have to be send to them for repair, with a 3-4 month wait.At this point I would rather just return the watch, would other people on this thread do the same, or different?Thank you.
18kt YG green dial gmt vs smurf
I have a smurf and Blro. I love them both but there is something about the gmt bezel and numbers that sings more to me than a sub bezel. And the green dial yg gmt sings much more to me then the smurf.I know a lot of u have the smurf in mind when thinking of a grail but....Thinking about swapping my smurf for the yg green dial gmt.Watch for watch. No cash involved.Just wanted to get my thoughts written done. Thanks for reading.
