Learning To Dive & Exploring A Sunken Ship With Oris Diving Watches
As a watch lover, I have pretty much always been attracted to diving watches. It was not until recently, however, that I was actually able to dive. After a fantastic time in Grand Cayman learning to dive and becoming certified by Divetech at the Cobalt Coast dive resort, an entire new world of diving experiences has now opened up for me C and the process further allowed me to truly appreciate the purpose of a good dive watch and the crucial role that telling the time plays in being a human underwater. This all started last year in 2014, as I approached one of my favorite Swiss sport watch brands-Oris?C?with an idea: How about we giveaway a trip where an watches-dealer reader goes with us to get their diving certification? We all talk about the purposes these high-end sports watches are meant to serve, so how about we actually go do some of them? Oris, if you'll recall, was the clever brand that took me to Ambri, Switzerland, to test out the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter watch whil
Date got stuck when changing over on 15400.
I took my 15400 off for a few hours and picked it back up a little after 12 AM and the date was stuck. I pulled the crown out and the date snapped into place. Has anyone seen this before?

116618LB but at what cost?
I've been wanting a 116618LB, ideally mint from 2015-2017 for low/mid 20s. A trusted grey dealer here in Boston says he can get me a new one for 28.5k, which is more than I'd want to pay for new. 27.4 would be 20% off msrp and more palatable, even if a few thousand more than a mint recent used one that I'm primarily looking for. Question is, do you think that's worth it at 28+? For me I think it's more the principle of the thing than the actual 1k difference off what I think would be fair for new. Should I stick to my guns and keep looking, or just go for it? A big consideration for myself is that I only pay cash and thus need to buy in person, ideally locally.
