FHH Introduces the Watch Tablet Sales Tool
Fine watch aficionados often lament that they know more about the timepieces in the case than the sales associates behind the counter. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) addresses this issue with the Watch Tablet, a thin touchscreen tablet PC that puts vast amounts of watch-related information at the associates’ fingertips. The Watch Tablet contains information on many topics, including 29 FHH partner brands, watchmaking and gemology, manufacturing and craftsmanship, and watch movements and complications. All content is interactive and much of it is illustrated with animation. The Watch Tablet is updated regularly via the FHH's secure content management system. You can learn more at HauteHorlogerie.org.

Omega Planet Ocean 8500 too thick for my taste. Looking for 2500
So I bought a Planet Ocean earlier this year for my first Omega (232.30.42.21.01.003). Now that I have had it for a few months, I just can't get past the thickness of the the case. After some research, it seems the thickness is due to the newer 8500 movement that replaced the older 2500 movement.I am wondering a couple of things. First, does anyone have direct side view comparison photo(s) available? Second, what would the model number for the aesthetically equivalent 2500 movement based watch be? Second, would anyone consider a trade? I know the 8500 movement is more expensive, but frankly, I'm more interested in a watch I enjoy wearing.(Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, still new here at TRF)

explorer ii 16570 white dial
hi all, picked up this baby today. It is a U serial number tritium dial, although the lume did not develop any patina yet, although the dots and arrows have a slight contrast to the dial. there is still a faint glow on the dots and arrows but does not last long.Well, looking fwd to it developing the patina, but if not, it is still a gorgeous watch. I include the customary pics - sorry for the lousy shots; am not very good at it.Rafteur
