A shout out to Bulang and Sons
Back in April, I bought a Diablo strap for my 145.012 from Bulang and Sons. Love the look, and have worn it regularly. Well, the decorative stitch on the tip of the strap came unraveled recently. A pretty minor thing, really, but I wanted it fixed, so I shot them an email and asked for a length of matching waxed linen thread to make the easy repair. Bernhard B&S quickly got back to me with a note of apology, and the promise to send me, not the thread, but whole new strap! It arrived yesterday. :D That's a stand-up response and one that I thought deserved a quick public shout out...so this is it...

Planet Ocean Straps
Are they really $400-500? That's insane! No strap is worth that, unless it's made out of velociraptor.That really turns me off when I know I can buy a Hirsch or Modena of equal quality. Bracelets last, but straps are essentially consumable. They don't last.

Incoming - My New Favorite ��Personal Jeweler�� Came Through
I guess I have developed a great relationship with one of the Personal Jeweler , that's her official title at a SoCal AD near my work. She's the same person who back in December offered me a BLNR and said they are really hard to come by, at that time I thought that she was just making up a story to get me to buy the watch. I did like the BLNR that day but didn't pull the trigger. I came back a week after for it but she said their security guard bought the BLNR. I completely regretted that I hesitated in buying the watch. I told my Personal Jeweler to call me as soon as they get another BLNR in stock. So my PJ calls me up a couple of days later saying that her boss won't add me to the waiting list because I don't have a transaction history with their store. I was like fine there are other ADs in the area, I'll just try my luck there. I've been visiting 3 ADs in my area for about a month without any luck. Bracelet change out for datejust
All,Have a Datejust 36mm (circa 1997) with the original hollow bracelet and clasp. I want to change the band to the updated Jubilee with the hidden clasp. Has anyone done this? If so, where to buy this bracelet? Been pretty unsuccessful so far, any help would be greatly appreciated!
