F1 President Bernie Ecclestone Mugged in London; Hublot Stolen From His Wrist
Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone suffered a black eye when he was attacked by four men outside his London office around 10:30 p.m. on November 25. His girlfriend was with him at the time. The robbers made off with jewelry – and Mr. Ecclestone’s Hublot – together valued at $314,000. Following the attack, Ecclestone sent a picture of his face along with a short note to Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver. The message said: See what people will do for a Hublot. Since the two have a great sense of humor, they agreed to make an advert based on the photo and message. This Hublot ad will be a strictly one-off shot, appearing in today's Financial Times and International Herald Tribune. The ad shows the unretouched “mugged shot”, along with Bernie Ecclestone’s original commentary. The ad also notes that Hublot does not condone this method of acquiring one of their watches.
Cacheux 8 Watch
Allow me to ask a question to my valued Chinese readers. Exactly how important is the number 8 in Chinese culture? I know that it is considered a powerful and positive symbol, but how drawn are people to wanting items which intentionally focus on the number 8? Let me put it another way; is a good luck charm lucky because it has some special or unique quality? Or is a good luck charm lucky because people label it as lucky? I just see a lot (and I mean a lot) of high-end wrist watches that either focus on or feature the number 8 in some capacity. Most of them don't hide that they do so to attract Chinese customers. So getting back to my question, exactly how big a deal is the number 8?To the Cacheux 8 watch, the number 8 is a really big deal. It goes without saying that it will be produced as a limited edition of eight pieces. The name of the watch is "8," and the watch reportedly required eight months to develop. On the watch dial is a massive eight carat diamond and the case is made of
OMG I tried on a Nautilus...
I've considered myself a pretty happy AP owner. For some variety I've also got a VC, PAM, BP & Sinn. But I'm in Chicago tonight for a meeting over the weekend and tonight I wandered into Tourneau. I know their reputation but started talking to the saleswoman there who happened to be the Patek specialist. She was great. After some discussion, she asked me if I wanted to try on the 5980. So let me just say that unless you have unbelievable self-control, say no to that question. Wow, having one on your wrist is just unexplainable. Pictures do not do it justice. It is the classiest watch that I have ever seen. Now my only problem is that I want one. I can't picture me buying any other watch. What have I done?

Anyone know an AD in the world in Canada, US, or other countries where I can get a good deal for this watch? It's so hard to find a good deal from an AD for this watch
Rolex Service for 75190 ?
Assuming this watch is too old for Rolex to service- It's a Tudor 75190 made in 1992-93. Does anyone know for sure? I don't care if they replace some parts like bezel and crystal because they are badly needed anyway.
