AP reliability...your views please...
I am looking at getting my collection of Rolex down from 6 to 2 or 3, and then entering the rarified world of AP and PP. I'm liking the 15400 and the ROC, and also the PP 5167 and 5164.It may be my imagination, but I seem to read an awful lot about AP having serious problems of reliability. We don't appear to see the same thing over on the PP forum.Any comments from you knowledgable Gentlemen?
Thoughts on the Pam 190??
I am on getting close to trading in my 112 on a 190 (plus cash). I am some what new to Panerai and have always owned Rolex watches. When I saw the 190 it really stood out to me and struck a cord that Rolex just has not done for me lately. Wanted to know what you guys thought about the 190. The deal would be my 112 plus about $4k cash.
A couple new straps from Micah...
Just added a couple new straps from Micah. The 305 is a canvas desert camp pattern with stainless buckle. The 104PVD is baby croc. Really pleased with his quality and customer service.
Rolex - sacrificing one market for the sake of another?
We first saw it with the SkyDweller, a piece that people thought would never be introduced in SS, yet a few years later, here we are. Today, a SS Pepsi that looks EXACTLY like the PM BLRO (source yourself an Oyster bracelet, and you've got a 1:1 copy). No doubt, this alienates the PM crowd and would push them towards other (PP, AP) brands. I get that the SS customers must be ecstatic, but what about all the former PM customers? This is coming from a SS customer interested in my first PM piece...it makes me second guess going after the DayDate, as they'll probably release one in SS soon enough.
