Paul Picot Technograph Wild 44mm Watch Available On James List
Sometimes you just want a good reptile skinned watch, but they can be so hard to find. Why? Well us Americans get kind of bent out of shape about it. Yes, I am all for Animal rights. Frankly I would put Animals above humans in many regards, but when it comes to animals that are raised, just to be killed for their "parts," sure it is cruel, but it is not really damaging to the environment. It would be different if you had guys going out into the jungle to kill pythons just for their skin. That would be bad, really bad. But when you farm the creatures for it? Well then if you are against that, then you are against eating chickens (cause they are raised just to be killed too).?? I am now expecting a slew of angry e-mails and comments. Proceed please, I did put myself out there with the "I love sweet, sweet animal skins" commentary. And on to the watch, this swell looking Paul Picot Technograph Wild 44mm. Why "Wild?" Why not?! I has to do with the materials that these watches in this specif
Re: Speedy nato strap
I have the speedy 42mm on bracelet. I will be going with NATO strap soon. I went to an AD and saw some OEM Omega Nato straps. I know that its over price but I like it because of the Omega buckle and omega etching on the keepers. For those of you guys who have the OEM Nato straps how do you like it?I have generic Nato straps on my other watches but sometimes its either too short or long and quality depending on makers of Nato strap not that good.If I was going to go aftermarket again what sites would you recommend? Thanks!Ryan
Nautilus too big?
I am on the search for a Patek, either a Nautilus or an Aquanaut.I'm considering the 5712, 5726, or the 5990 from the Nautilus range, and the 5164 from the Aquanaut range.I have small wrists (6.5) and although I am ok wearing a big watch when 'big' suits it (I.e. An AP Diver) I'm not keen on watches that are designed to 'wear normally' looking too big for a wrist.Having looked at lots of pictures, the 5726 seems to wear quite big, bigger than the 5712, although this also seems to wear bigger than the Aquanaut. The 5990 is a little different as it looks like it's designed to wear bigger and looks a bit more rugged by design, although I could be wrong.I hope I've made sense, but given that I may have to buy blind due to limited availability to try on, if any of you guys have a view, it would be most appreciated.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Exit Watch
Let's play a little game:If you were going to trade ALL your current watches to a single grail watch and then wear that for the rest of your life and in time pass it on to your son, which Patek (new of vintage) would you settle for as your exit watch?
5167a Underwhelming?
From Internet pics and posts I have always been a big fan of the aquanaut. I have considered trading my DD 118208 for a 5167a, but when I am about sold on the idea I read a lot of posts here that are very negative about the 5167a. I know this is a PP forum but I just wanted to get some thoughts about the watch and if you would trade a DD for a 5167a.
