Piaget Launches New Website
This autumn, Piaget is launching its new website featuring improved ease of use, enriched content and enhanced interactivity. The look is pared down and restrained. The site is equipped with the latest HMTL technologies for content management and speedy loading. The home page orders information hierarchically to invite a guided tour of the site’s clearly identified sections. The site presents the brand’s history and expertise, and the latest news section is regularly updated. Visitors enjoy direct access to the watch and jewelery collections. Each model can be viewed from various angles, or admired in a video. Mechanical hand-wound and automatic movements reveal their development and operating secrets, while the jewelery creations unveil their aesthetic features. Visitors can print the photos or send them to friends via a direct link, and an on-line catalog can also be consulted.Piaget’s boutique network can be viewed at a glance, and the search for a given point of s
The History Of Dive Watches
There are many things we take for granted when speaking about modern timepieces, and one of those is water resistance. There are no "water proof" watches, as that implies water would not be able to enter them under any circumstances, so we use the term "water resistant." The history of water resistant watches really began in the 1920s, but it was not until later that the serious water resistant diving watch came into existence. Today dive watches are the most popular type of sport watch, not necessarily because people use them to dive, but because of their style, promise of durability, and utilitarian value.Regardless of whether one pays a few hundred or several thousand dollars for a watch, they rightfully expect reliability, accuracy, and comfort. Having said that, we are rarely reminded of just how much time it took wristwatches to transform from fragile pieces of art into workhorse instruments that can put up with most of the challenges we expose them to during our daily lives. PAM 320 durability? help!
I'm about to purchase a watch, either a pam320 or a rolex submariner. I like the submariner but the pam sings to me more. This will be my first watch. I plan on purchasing the one in the not so distant future. What's holding me back is the durability of the in house movement, P9XXX series. What's your feedback on it?I like how the submariner has this durable 3135 movement but do you think it's all marketing? Is the pam movement as durable as the 3135? I just dont like that the pam320 does not have a perpetual calendar.
