The New Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA From WatchReport.com
At BaselWorld 2008 this year, Rolex announced an update to their already amazing, top-of-the-line diver: The Rolex Sea-Dweller. They're calling the new model the Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA. The DEEPSEA has several changes from the original Sea-Dweller
The Value Proposition: The Mido Baroncelli Heritage, A Great Looking Simple Watch At A Great Price
Mido is a Swatch Group brand that doesn't have a tremendous amount of mindshare among wristwatch enthusiasts in the United States, although the company's been around for some time (founded in 1918) and the Group has retailers for Mido watches around the world. Its current collections have preserved some of the company's more popular vintage models, including the Multifort, Commander, and Ocean Star lines, and they've just announced a new model in the Baroncelli line: the Baroncelli Heritage. This is not a watch that's necessarily going to take the world by storm, but it doesn't need to: it's a good-looking watch for just a bit over $1,000, that's noticeably better thought out than a lot of its competition. 1 OF 4 Mido, for some time now, has been positioning itself as a company that takes design cues from world architecture – to be completely candid, the connection can sometimes seem a bit tenuous. The Baroncelli Heritage supposedly is influenced by the architecture
Thoughts on the Spectre/Bond Seamaster
I visited the local Omega boutique and checked out a few pieces they had including the limited edition Spectre Seamaster. Now I love the new Seamaster 300 but I detest these special edition Bond watches. IMO they age horribly and buying a watch based off a movie just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I also think it cheapens the Omega brand... you would NEVER see Rolex pull that sort of move. Anyone else agree?
what to do...
thank you for your knowledgeable answers. now i can face the next challenge. do i buy brand new bond seamaster blue coaxial 41mm or get the PO preowned (2005). the PO is on strap which i will get rid of immediately and buy a braclet (which will cost additional). will this still be feasible?i ok with buying both brand new and preowned. but in this case which one? i want to use this for daily beater and some salt water diving. i have never bought an omega before. if i choose to go preowned. what do i need to check for authenticity. is there something like a laser etched crown, Where can i find the serial number?

Was hanging around the house today with some time to kill, and realized I had six of my PP out of the safe deposit box at the same time (and realized I better get some back to the bank Monday morning).... so I thought why not a group pic?025 by , on Flickr027 by , on Flickr028 by , on Flickr
