How Precise is Your Watch? Test It with the Lepsi Watch Scope
For everyone who’s ever read a watch test or review in WatchTime and wished they could test their own timepieces for accuracy at home and without making the major investment of a Witschi timing machine Geneva-based Lepsi has an ideal stocking stuffer: the Lepsi Watch Scope, essentially a stethoscope to read the “heartbeat” of a mechanical watch. The Watch Scope is a compact device (retailing for 369 Swiss francs, that syncs with your smartphone to measure a mechanical watch’s vital stats including rate variation, amplitude and beat error in just seconds. To use the Watch Scope, you first need to download (either from the Google Play or Apple App store) the Lepsi Watch Scope app for installation on your smartphone. Blue dial the same across various models?
Was at the Boutique in Singapore the other day and was lucky enough to be able to see the 15202, 15400 and the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in person. All of them are blue dials. However I noticed that the blue across these 3 models were slightly different. I aint sure if I am colorblind but the 15400 blue is a little greyish blue, both the 15202 and the perpetual calendar blue were dark blue, and very similar between the both of them. Can anyone shed any light on this? thank you for reading.adrian.
It's here! My first AP.
My first AP! Went with the new 15202 jumbo. Was having good ol' DSW source a 15300 (which I'm still mulling), but he mentioned yesterday that he had an inbound BNIB 15202 (warranty dated this week) from his AD. I thought about it for a good 30 seconds and pulled the trigger. David had the AD drop ship it to my place and I received it this morning. The thinner case and 39mm size suits my wrists better than the 15400. As has been mentioned before, it wears a lot like a PP 5711 - which is also in my rotation. However, the 15202 bracelet is a bit more comfortable IMHO. I love the patisserie dial and its subtle color changes in different light. The detailing on the watch is insane - up there with my Pateks.Thank you DavidSW for another smooth transaction, and thank you Thomas (TSW) for bracelet sizing advice after some issues with overuse of loctite at the AP factory. Coincidentally, the 15202 arrived the same day I received my always-delayed copy of WatchTime featuring the RO Jumbo. Enough
Speedy Gold Brown Strap
After a few years of owning my speedy 3572.50, I'm ready to try a strap to dress it down a little. I really like the gold brown straps against the speedy black face. Couple of questions.......1. What size strap do I get? 18mm or 20mm?2. I have been looking at this particular strap. Thoughts on how it will look on the speedy? Thanks for any help!
