What's the deal with the summer RG 44mm white?
I was searching through the forums and couldn't find the pics again. It was a RG 44mm but the bezel was rose too instead of ceramic. White accents all over the watch.Could someone help out with some pics and info please? All I can remember is that a member (I think from the Middle East) mentioned that it was an LE for this summer.
Just delivered...
I just rejoined AP ownership after a long absence. It took me a while to decide which one to choose. I looked at the RO chronograph, the calendar watch, and the Jumbo. Went with the new Jumbo and its stunning. Sorry for the poor photographs but I was at the office and it still has some plastic on it.Best regards,Dino
Different interpretations of "Lume"
Love how Omega does the lume so differently on the Speedies and all pretty cool :-)
Wrong date wheel... !
As some of you may have read on one of my previous posts, I recently acquired a Speedmaster Solar Impulse (HB-SIA). A beautiful and highly functional watch. But to my surprise, I noticed that the font on the date wheel, did not look anything like the pictures I had seen online. Not only that, I had read a comment in a popular watch blog about how nice it was that Omega had decided to use the same font on the date wheel as used everywhere else on the watch. Bam! That made me think that I might had a dud.(See first pic below, the 8 on the date is completely round, as opposed to the very angular numbers elsewhere on the watch.)I called Omega Customer Service to explain the situation, and at first, they basically thought I was nuts. HOW would Omega install the WRONG date wheel???? Impossible!!! After a heated conversation, and sending pictures of my watch vs the images on the Omega website, the service rep finally agreed to contact Bienne for their feedback. As I had hoped,
Solar Impulse
My latest Omega, picked up on the latest UK visit for a tidy price. Dial is busy but the time is still easy to read, hope that it'll compliment my Speedy Pro.Kept a couple of PAMs off my wrist during my travels - Flies below radar, Titanium lightness, GMT, Chrono, WR 100m = perfect travel watch for me...
