Da Vindice Tourbillon Barometer Weather Station Watch
I think there must be something in the water in Switzerland. How else could you explain the multitude of, well, non-traditional complications getting placed into mechanical watches lately? While I hadn't heard of Da Vindice previously, their latest model certainly made me take notice. They've taken something that I've only previously seen implemented in fully digital outdoors watches (ie, the Casio ProTrek line) and paired it with a, dare I say, whimsical tourbillon implementation. The function in question is a barometer and it is part of the 2014 Da Vindice Tourbillon Barometer timepiece. This is very similar in concept to the Breva Genie 01 watch from 2013 (hands-on here). You know, those things that are susceptible (by design) to changes in atmospheric pressure, and give a rudimentary sort of a local forecast? As a weather-telling device, barometers have always been fascinating to me. Implementing one into a wristwatch may not be the most logical thing to do, but it does make more se
Help with an Omega
Hey everyone! I am not all too familiar with Omega's so with that said is this a fake? The auction is for the watch itself, he said he will include a leather band, but what band would make it original, can one be bought?Any opinions are appreciated.cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...link:middle:usDoes this look like a good deal? Broke My Explorer II :(
I was changing the date on my 5 digit ExII to catch it up with the short month, Plus I haven't worn it for about a week. To change the date, you advance the hour hand around twice independently. It will click from hour to hour. Then, I noticed it was no longer clicking, but merely spinning around the dial. It's still changes the date, but it is no longer running with the time. I wonder how expensive this will be?
Will we ever see a precious metal Sea-Dweller
Why not?, on the opposite side of the spectrum, many said we would never see a Sky-Dweller in anything but a precious metal, and then they come out with an all steel, and it is a big hit.I for one, would love to see a Sd43 in a precious metal, either white or yellow gold..Guess I can wait and see, only a few months away.
