Nik Wallenda Takes JeanRichard To New Heights Over Grand Canyon
You no doubt have heard the news (or perhaps even watched the live broadcast) of Nik Wallenda crossing over the Little Colorado River Gorge (near the Grand Canyon), 1500 feet in the air without a tether on June 23, 2013. ?What you may not have caught is the fact he was wearing a watch from JeanRichard as Wallenda is JeanRichard's latest brand ambassador (Ariel had dinner with him and vouches that he is indeed a nice guy). The watch in question that crossed the Canyon was the JeanRichard Terrascope (pictured up top, and reviewed right here). ?At first, it may seem a little odd that someone would wear a $3,500 watch in a stunt like this - not to mention the fact of having that extra unbalanced weight. ?But, when you realize that Mr. Wallenda is a brand ambassador for JeanRichard, it all makes sense. Eventually there will be a limited edition version of the watch for Wallenda. If you're going to take risks like this (and with as wide as an audience as this viewing had), you'd might as well
AP New york
Guys I need urgent help. How can I check authentication of AP watch in new York. They told me yesterday they can check the watch and check accuracy in 0.5 hour or so. Today I talked to other women and she confirmed that they should open the watch to check the movement and that would take 4 weeks as they will send it to florida. So is there anyway to do it in new York as I have no time and can't delay the seller noting that the seller is private collector and not dealer??
Strap differences between diver and novelty?
Is there a difference between the diver strap and the novelty strap? Just wondering.
Looking for a Second Patek.....
Hello All, I am now in the market for a 2nd Patek. My purchase of a 5035 left me with a good chunk of money left over..... so I have decided to buy a 2nd Patek with these funds! You see - unlike some people who think the 5035 is a lesser watch than the 5146 - I actually choose the 5035 for the following reasons:- 1) the size is perfect - 37mm 2) the 24 hour dial 3) the history of the 5035 being the first Annual Calendar 4) the investment potential of the 5035 Vs the 5146 5) the fact it is no longer in production. At the end of the day the big choice was either the 5035, 3940 or the 5140. As they were all similar in size the fact the 5035 was 37mm had no bearing on the decision. I now am considering a 5107, 5127, 5196, 5119, 5296.
Rolex recommendation
Hi,this is my first thread here. I plan to buy my first Rolex this year, but Im not sure what type. Im not yet so common with the market. Maybe some of the experienced fans and collectors here can give me some useful ideas. My ideas and wishes so far:1)new watch (=not used)2)able to keep the value or at least not to loose much (I have found some opinions, that f.e. the new Cellinis will only destroy money)I like the new Cellini Moonphase, but I dont know, if it can keep the price, or a completely different watch, the expensive Daydate. This is a classic model, but probably it will be always a traditional Rolex with a nice value.Any ideas for me?Thanks!Peter
