Nautica NSR 100 & NMX 650 Budget Friendly Diver Watches
When writing about less expensive watches I aim to ensure that budget options are fun and useful. Taking a host of design cues from both popular Swiss and Japanese dive watches, these two new collections from Nautica aren't too bad at prices which are likely to be under $300 each. What you are looking at is actually two different models. One is the Nautica NSR 100 and the other is the Nautica NMX 650. Both watch families come in a range of colors, but the NSR 100 seems to have a few more options and is the less expensive of the two. The NSR 100 watches are 44mm wide in steel with plastic bezels. The crystals are mineral glass and the cases are water resistant to 100 meters. The NSR 100 is typified by a larger crown and bright colors (aside from the black version) with matching dials, bezels and straps. The straps are actually silicone. I don't have a problem with silicone straps for the most part (aside from the fact that they get really dirty with ease), and you'll notice that people u
After 13 year break I have returned to AP
Hi all,So after my first AP Royal Oak which I purchased in 2003, and sold within 6 months because at the time I felt it was too easily scratched/damaged, recently I decided that as I was few years older I could buy into the AP brand and take better care of the watch. After owning a couple of Rolexes (ss Daytona and GMT), a couple of Panerais and a VC overseas chrono (the only watch I still own and the best of the bunch), I have decided to buy an AP Offshore Steel Rubber Clad as my daily wearer.I have been looking for the last few months and have been undecided between a 39mm ROC city of sails, a 41mm steel ROC, a Navy themes and a Rubberclad. In the end I went for the Rubberclad and I managed to get a great condition watch with just few bruises and marks on the bezel and perfect elsewhere, it was also my cheapest option so left me some space for servicing costs etc. Had -5 sec/day and 310 amplitude on the timing machine which was a good sign that it was well looked after, and after a f

When did you first start down the Patek road?
Hi folks,Although I've always had a fine appreciation for watches it's really been the last 5-6 years that I've been serious about collecting and learning about this crazy addiction. Actually I can tell you the exact date, 8/10/2011, the day I joined TRF Ive been all over the globe when it comes to brands and it's been a very fun journey discovering what I like and what I dislike. For all the various brands that I've owned I've always clung to Rolex as my core. But recently I've felt that I have acquired all that I need from Rolex and I've been really drawn to what Patek has to offer. I was lucky enough to acquire a 5711 white dial from my AD recently. I hate to say this but I just wasn't able to bond with it. I didn't even post an incoming because I knew it wasn't a keeper. Since then I've tried on a 5712 and a 5146 and I really loved everything about those watches. I'm pretty sure my next watch will be the 5712 or maybe the 5712r (or both) and I'd like to acquire the 5146r later on.
