Unique Patek Pilot’s Watch Brings $1.7 Million
At Christie’s May 11 Geneva sale, a private Swiss museum paid SFr.1,891,000 ($1,734,862) for a unique, oversize aviator’s wristwatch made by Patek Philippe. The 55mm timepiece features splittable center seconds and an hour angle dial. This is the only watch of its kind known to exist, and until the sale, there was no mention of such a watch in the literature. The Patek Philippe archives confirm that this watch was completed in 1936, and that it was sold on September 28 of that year. The watch is thought to be a unique prototype made on special request. The case is chromed nickel. The dial is black lacquer. The scales and signature are carved into the plate and filled with off-white varnish. Luminous material was used to highlight the Arabic numerals and the outer 60 degrees scale, as well as the hands.The “hour” hand rotates once in 24 hours, indicating the degrees of arc against the center circle divided into 360. Hi-- I am interested in purchasing a Planet Ocean watch for myself-- 42 mm, black bezel. Also thinking of buying an automatic SS Seamaster for my wife. Can anyone recommend an AD to work with? Omega Seamaster problem!!!
Dear Friends....I`m owner of a Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (Co-axial , one barell) Today, deside to wear this watch after three months of comlete immobility.Before wear it , I winded it up about 40 turns.I went to friend`s house and sat there for two hours next to a sound box. Since then, my watch stopped working.The situation is this : when I move watch with my hand doing a circle, the second`s hand counts for 5 secs and stops.Is my watch magnitised?Now after two hours my watch running just fine!!!Any ideas????? Should I worry or not???Any opinions???Sorry for my English....Thanks in advance..

Mooncakes - OP Style
I missed it this year as I was away on a job but we've just had the mid-Autumn festival, which is on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar year. A big part of the festival is the production and consumption of mooncakes. Depending on their contents, mooncakes can range from ok to meh to positively vile. However, these ones are like nothing I've seen before. They were given to me by most awesome friends at OP Singapore and I'm not sure if I should actually eat them

Velcro Strap for my Pam 111.
Just picked up a black/yellow velcro strap for my 111. This thing is so stiff! Any suggestions to help break it it? It's almost to stiff to wear, I love the look but it's not comfortable at all. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
