Flynn's Chronograph?
Can anyone figure out what he is wearing? (This is not supposed to start a political debate)
Old movement on D Blue
I bought my D Blue a week before Basel and when Rolex announced the new D Blue with the new movement I questioned if I had made the right choice. For kicks, I decided to check the accuracy and the results look good to me on the calibre 3135. It's the most accurate Rolex that I own out of 4 so for those that have any remorse owning the 116660...it's a great watch and we are lucky to have one so enjoy it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Im VERY lucky with my AD
My AD operates in seasonal holiday resorts....one in the summer and another in the winter. As a result the vast majority of his sales are to tourists/passing trade. He of course has regular customers (like myself), but it is very different to a normal city AD.I have known the guy for five years now, in which time I have bought four watches from him (all SS). Whilst two of those watches were eventually sold, he knows I’m not buying to flip.I went to see him on Tuesday (knowing that he had just returned from Basel). I’m now first on his list for both the new SS BLRO and the RG TT GMT. And I absolutely believe him. Before leaving I happened to mention that my nephew is on the hunt for a BLNR. I got the call this morning to come and collect the watch. Three days ain’t bad!Moral of the story....befriend an AD somewhere seasonal.By the way...the BLNR has all its stickers on!
The 20k USD GMT II
Hi allGiven the current state of things with those impossible waiting lists and growing frustration from buyers it still amazes me that Rolex wont increase the price of the GMT massively to curb demand. Cant offer any detailed sensitivity study on it but id say 20k USD for the new Pepsi and they'd still be able to sell them all while not making it insanely hard and annoying to procure. What do you think? Would a pricelist of 20k put you off from buying a Pepsi?
SubC Bezel Alignment
Anyone else have a bezel that appears off and either aligns 1/4 second to the left or 1/4 second to the right of the 12 o'clock position? I did several google searches and it seems like a pretty common issue. Every search I found pretty much said the same thing that it's a much more in-depth undertaking than just popping off the bezel, which I won't get into.It finally wore on me enough that I took it in to an AD today expecting to be missing it for a while. The watchmaker did confirm that the in-depth protocol is accurate. He said he could do it in-house, but he did suggest them sending it to Rolex after I expressed my concern of the open case and movement not being a dust-free environment, which he said he agreed with. However, he did recommend applying a small amount of clockwise pressure to the bezel because it's often one or more of the four click springs doesn't get set deep enough in the teeth/ratchet/gear/whatever. I'm not a technical guy so I'm ad libbing. Either way, I
