The Biggest of the Big: New IWC Big Pilot’s Heritage Watches (Live Pictures)
IWC Schaffhausen launched its first Big Pilot’s Watch (52-Caliber T.S.C) in 1940; for 75 years, that historic timepiece has held the title of largest IWC watch ever made. This year, however, IWC releases one that eclipses it. The IWC Big Pilot’s Heritage Watch 55 along with its slightly smaller little brother, the IWC Big Pilot’s Heritage Watch 48 made their high-flying debuts this week at SIHH 2016 in Geneva. When discussing watches available in two case sizes, one doesn’t usually hear the 48-mm version described by the brand rep as “the smaller of the two,” but that’s exactly what we heard today, so let’s start with that one. The Big Pilot’s Heritage Watch 48 has a case made of lightweight titanium, so despite its size it weighs in at a reasonable 120 grams. The watch (both watches, actually) has a dial with several new and subtle design features that make them more period-accurate: the triangle under the 12 o’clock posit
HYT H3 Watch & Video
At Baselworld 2015, HYT (the hydromechanical horologists) will present their third major new release - the HYT H3. A few months ago, HYT presented the Skull watch (here), which, while being a new watch, was closely aligned with the original HYT H1 (hands-on here). Unique, weird, and controversial, the HYT Skull was merely a fun distraction from what would be the main attraction for 2015 - this new HYT H3 timepieces. In a nutshell, this 25-piece limited edition watch in titanium & platinum that will have a linear liquid indicator for the hours along a rotating cubic linear hour scale, along with a retrograde minute hand.HYT is clearly friendly with fellow Geneva-based futuristic high-end micro-brands such as MB&F, Urwerk and others. While the H3 resembles the DNA HYT has already been adept at developing, you see a lot of references to their industry colleagues in the design of the H3 watch and its more angular rectangular-shaped case that is 62mm wide by 41mm tall. Sitting wide

After Set Diamonds
Hi All,Seeking some advice on a Patek. I have been offered this watch, which has apparently had diamonds set in the bezel, and a diamond set dial all provided by Patek themselves. There is apparently paperwork to cooborate this but I am yet to see it.Is this something that Patek would do?I have attatched some pictures, which I appreciate are not the best of quality.Kind regards,Luke
too good to pass up?
So, I am killing time in Shreve today waiting for a watch to be pressure tested a few stores over...I'm wearing my 372 and I ask to try on a couple of watches including a PAM 25...the salesman (also sporting a 25) says, hold on, I've got a great deal for you. Knowing Shreve doesn't negotiate I have my doubts...but he walks back with a brand new (though M series) 305 and says that they are offering the watch at 30% off. I was flabbergasted...what do you think? Buy it?
