Watches NEWS
Close-Up: Zenith Pilot Doublematic
Zenith is best known these days for chronograph watches powered by the high-frequency El Primero chronograph movement, which it introduced in the milestone horological year of 1969. However, one would have to go further back to discover that the brand also boasts a history of developing precision timekeeping instruments for aviation. In fact, French pilot Louis Blriot was wearing a Zenith when he crossed the English Channel in his aircraft, the Blriot XI, in July 1909. By 1939, the company’s Montre Aeronef Zenith Type 20 watch had become standard equipment on the dashboards of many French planes. It is timepieces such as these that inspired Zenith’s Pilot collection, which has become a major pillar for the brand since its launch back in 2012. Apple Watch Sales Begin In Switzerland, The Heart Of Luxury Watchmaking
On June 26, 2015, the Apple Watch has been made available in seven new markets including, you guessed it, watchmaking country, Switzerland. It is fresh news, but it also gives us a chance to discuss the interesting Swiss trademark issue that potentially related to the introduction of the?Apple Watch in Switzerland. There are conflicting reports about the precise nature of the issue but if some news reports were true then Apple has to deal with a potentially conflicting and per-existing "Apple Watch" trademark in Switzerland. Some guessed that this was expected to be a?considerable obstacle for Apple to overcome before a possible launch?of the Watch in the country. We also take a quick look?at?how the Apple Watch was?received in the home of horology, and the impact it has?already had?on it.The Apple Watch was first made available as much?as two months ago, on April 24th C but, ironically, Switzerland was not?among the nine?countries that were given access to the first shipments. While t
Speedy Panda dial mod question
So was all geared up to purchase the Panda dial for my Speedie Pro and silver hands and I notice that one of the hour marker hands is out of stock (part no. HAN-4250). .ofrei/omega-watch-han...r-321-861.htmlAnyone know if there is any reason why I couldn't order a 2nd second or minute marker hand (HAN-4248, HAN-4249) and use instead or is there a specific reason there are 3 seperate hands for each sub dial? Thanks on advance good people.
