Baume & Mercier Add New Models To Its William Baume Editions: The Retrograde, Ultraflat, And Tourbillon Watches
At Baume et Mercier (aka Baume & Mercier), the William Baume name has always applied to very classic simple watches. If you want a handsome and timeless Swiss watch that won't utterly devastate your bank account, the William Baume collection is usually a good place to look. Now, getting a bit more serious with the line, Baume et Mercier takes an interesting new direction that is almost Teutonic in design. The William Baume Retrograde, Ultraflat, and Tourbillon have a decidedly retro appeal to them from design of the lugs to the classic guilloche machine work on the dial. Each of the watches comes in a limited edition of only 178 pieces each, but the Tourbillon is limited to only 10 pieces. While there are three new models, they each share a lot of the same design cues. The cases are very compact looking, especially with the Ultraflat, and are in rose gold. Case width is also comparable at 41mm. There is lug designs which are worth noting as well. The look is very 1960s. I would say
AP 15400 price increase
Quite surprised to see how much AP 15400 preowned trading today. Why the price surges? Do you think it is affected by PP 5711's craze?Hopefully it will continue to increase though, make me relieved I bought it for good price last December. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Seamaster, suggestions for a less flashy band?
Hello, I have the Seamaster professional 41mm (20mm) band (the James Bond style), its the Quartz one and while I like and appreciate the quality of the band am looking for something less blingy. I am not a fan of nylon for hygenic resons (watch will be in the water frequently) and not a huge fan of silicone/rubber b/c I like the watch to slide to the bottom of my wrist vs. getting stuck to it.Also, I like the clasp on the OEM band b/c its quick and I trust it. I don't like the traditional ones you have to stick through a hole, takes too long. Also, I like the expandable feauture of the OEM one, its a must for wetsuits. What are my options out there (Omega or other brands) other then a brushed ss one with expansion clasp? (pls let me know if any simple Submariner style brushed ones as well with the expension). Are there rubber/silicone bands out there that use a clasp and have an expension or wet suits?? TIA
Incoming! First Panerai
Thanks to all of you that helped me choose my first Panerai, and especially for Nick C who was my enabler. I have decided to get the 372 and boy am I happy with that decision.I got it from the boutique in Kuwait and they hooked me up with two free straps, a keychain, and a pen.Enough with the talking, here are the pictures.
My first Deep Sea has arrived! 116660
After months of searching i found a a very nice mint condition 116660 at Capetown Diamonds. The service was excellent and it was a smooth transaction.Only thing hard for me is to adjust to a smaller watch as i have been wearing a Breitling Super Avenger for the past 6 years![IMG][/IMG]
