It's January, 2013 and that means SIHH is just around the corner. Actually, it's about 2.5 weeks away. Caught a nasty bug!!!
Been drooling over ALS 1815 chronograph blk dial just released in June. See link below from HODINKEE. What a stunning piece with probably the best movement ever made, dial to die for and the openwork back case literally made me fall off my chair. Earlier this year, I acquired 15400ST + 26400IO and thinking to let 1 go...very very tough decision as I love both. Also thinking to release 2 Pams (which I've worn only 5x) to own this holy grail. What do you think?https://.hodinkee/articles/a-...ith-black-dial
26400au FC for Smurf ???
Completely out of left field, I was offered a swap yesterday where I would give up my 6 month old 26400FC Novelty (which I do like) for a BNIB 116619 Smurf. After initially politely declining the offer....I find myself actually contemplating the deal. This would leave me with my Diver as my only AP.And although I am leaning towards not making the trade I'm always curious what other's thoughts on the subject are .....fire away !
Switching Speedy Dials?
Does anyone know if a 1861 dial would fit/work with a 861 movement? Specifically, I'd like to put a panda dial in my speedy. I have a 1978 861 movement. I noticed that Ofrei is selling a panda dial (here: .ofrei/page343.html) and states, Used on Model number 3570.21.00 with case number 145.0022 Is this a feasible option?Alternatively,Would the Appollo 11 dial fit in the 861 and if so, does anyone know where I might be able to find one? Thanks for the help.
