Go Offshore in Style
Another milestone, another celebration! This year we see AP refreshes its basic 42mm ROO line after a successful 20 years of voyage. Much have been discussed about since SIHH 2014, the good, the doubtful, the controversial and AP has been busy going around the world to officially launch these new timepieces in style. It's always a pleasure to attend one of these parties to witness and celebrate the happy occasion. This time, AP Singapore picked a tranquil location at the popular Dempsey Hill area for the event. As usual, the setting was trendy, the food was exquisite, the atmosphere was merry and overall feeling was appropriately Offshore chic :) Oliviero and guestsAssorted cheese and pastryPotato chips that looked like dry leaves!Edible sandMy snacksThere was a display corner at one end of the party hall which was set up to showcase the iconic 42mm ROO timepieces from its birth in 1993 till date. Pam Subs.
Hello all, I have a question. I have noticed on occasion what some noted as the dreaded corrosion on their hands of the watch, on watches that are for sale. Is this a isolated case with some models, or something that happens from time to time?. As i have an itch getting either a Pam 24 or 25. I think I'm leaning towards the 25 due to the dial, love the waffle look. Either way, the more I look at Panerai watches the more I want one or two of them. Many thanks in advance.
New Incoming .. My Personal Pam GRAIL
Since I couldnt afford my Rolex Grail, I got the next best thing. Now can someone tell me how to order straps for this thing?
PVD coating durability
I know for many of you a PVD treated Rolex is pure blasphemy, but for those others that actually own or have owned a Rolex with a PVD treatment, I'd love to get some feedback (and some photos) on how well the PVD has held up. It seems that one of the knocks against them is that if you get a serious scratch, there's not much you can do other than use a sharpie and just deal with it.However, my experience has been different. I have a PVD Panerai that has seen a lot of wear, and it doesn't have a single scratch on it. It does have an interesting patina around the edges of the case. I also have a PVD treated Sinn U1, and I don't think it's possible to scratch that thing. After nearly a decade it doesn't have a blemish anywhere on the case. On top of that, I had a DLC treated Nighthawk Custom 1911, and I had a similar experience - no scratches anywhere.So...let's see em if you got them. Please post pictures of your well worn PVD Rolexes. I'd also be curious to compare the difference betwee
