Cadillac & Rolex Over The Years: Cars Change, Watches Don't
I'll admit it. I love watches and I love cars. To me, they both represent a higher state of where design and machinery intersect. And being in the watch business for all of my life (I'm a 4th generation watchmaker, and founder of TimeZonewatches-dealer), I always seem to find a correlation between people who own fine luxury cars, and those who own fine luxury watches. Having said that, the world of watches is amusingly different than that of cars.I've always played a little game in my head as to what car corresponds to which watch - like those matching games you'd play in the newspaper. So match the car with the watchHere are a few of my matches: Panerai and BMW, Lange and Maybach, Patek and Mercedes, Jaeger and Lexus, IWC and Audi, and the quintessential American luxury car: Cadillac and Rolex. Kain Heritage Straps' Presentation Wins
I had zero intention of making this thread - I'm certainly not going to create a thread every time I try a new strapmaker, but what started as a Hey, the shipping box branding is cool grew to this packaging is pretty ridiculous especially at this price point and finally became OK, I'm shooting this thing whole hog.I'm impressed. The well-presented shipping box:With even more killer packaging inside, as each strap had its own carrying case, smaller strap case, and certification card. Again, at the very reasonable price point that Kain heritage sells these straps I am pretty blown away by the presentation here:I actually became worried as I opened the final case containing the strap. The pessimist in me screamed that all this fluff was potentially trying to disguise or justify a substandard product, and I'm very glad to say that I need not have worried. The two straps I purchased were true to the colors as-represented on the Kain Web site, and their fit was new-strap-slightly-tight (as u

My local AD called me. They just got the GMT Batman today.None of their loyal customers had it on their hit list. I called him and will go after my scheduled meetings.I plan on paying with an American Express to get an extra year warranty.I guess the biggest question I have is who should I use to insure my new purchase.I֪ not a home owner, and I֪ about to move to the U.K.?If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.Thank you in advance.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
