Paul Picot Announces Online Photo Contest
Famed photographer Helmut Newton first worked with Paul Picot in the early 90s. To celebrate Newton’s legacy, Paul Picot is sponsoring an online photo contest. The brand is issuing a call to art aficionados to celebrate Newton’s work by interpreting one of his famous pieces with a fresh and innovative approach. Read on for full details…Paul Picot has selected an original Helmut Newton image, and entrants are to reinterpret the image in their own way. The scope is broad and open to the imagination. The contest is open to everyone. To view the original Helmut Newton image, and to learn more about the contest, visit paulpicot.ch. In the menu in the upper left, click “Newton Photo Contest”. Note that the original Newton image selected by Paul Picot is tame by French standards, but some may find it a bit racy (if you know Newton’s work, this will not surprise you.)Additional contest information and guidelines:? Patek buckle or not?
Hi,My 2593 is on a Patek signed leather strap. I am investigating if the buckle is aftermarket or if it is the correct Patek buckle. It is not signed anywhere which naturally would indicate that it is aftermarket. I have seen similar buckles on the bay that the sellers claim to be authentic. I am dubious though. Can anybody shed some light on this? Thanks!

Good stock in Long Island
Stopped into London Jewelers in Southampton today. Had the sub, sub date, DSSD, polar explorer and all Milgauss models. Pretty light on DJ 41's though. Did not buy anything but good selection for members seeking one of these references.
Basel 2018 Platinum Sub
Out of curiosity how many of you would be interested in the release of a Platinum Sub this year? This is my grail and I want to imagine its going to be released at some point soon . I'm imagining it with that dull red face that's been posted on the forum before. No doubt the price will be steep but how steep?? $65-75k? I think this would be the only watch that could make me part with my Smurf. Oh well, I'm normally disappointed in the Basel releases so I'm hoping for a surprise this year. If not, I will just continue to enjoy my Smurf because IMHO it's the perfect watch for a guy that wears the same shirt, shorts and flip flops every single day! I've been approached only on a single occasion from a fellow WIS who said nice watch, really nice watch . I like the whole stealth thing with this watch and I imagine the Platinum Sub will be the same.
