While the great Gerald Genta is best known for his work in the wristwatch space C designing not only Audemars Piguet's landmark model C the Royal Oak C but also Patek Philippe's Nautilus, and IWC's Ingenieur SL and more, Genta himself longed for a much larger career in product design. PAM 392 new shoes
Just got a new strap from Bas & Lokes. It's the Kenzo strap. It's not quite as shiny as it is on their site and will likely crease alot over time. It's also a bit thicker than the OEM gator strap. Liked it enough to order two other straps from them.
DaytonaC in a display window
Today, traveling for business in NYC, I passed a store with a DaytonaC 116500 Black in the window display. I went in to ask: USD 18,000. Take a look at the store, and the display. Is it a real DaytonaC?
New Subs: Vulnerability to Scratches
I work in New York and walk a lot, take the subway, go to the bars and get drunk with my mates. One thing I'm wondering:How careful should I be with my new Sub? Rolex says the ceramic bezel is scratch resistant, and the crystal is scratch resistant. The band seems pretty rugged too. But for some reason I'm a bit apprehensive to be so carefree about how I wear it. Even as I'm typing this I feel like I sound like an idiot haha. Anyway... Do any of you feel the same way? Or is it safe to say I can just go about my day knowing I won't damage my watch by some incidental contact on something.
