Review: Magrette Regattare 2011
The Magrette Regattare 2011 is conceptually a very interesting watch. Its super compressor functionality and cushion style case, give the Regattare decidedly classic undertones.? But layered on top of this classical foundation is a sporty, rather modern veneer.? Not to mention that the watch boasts 500 M water resistance, a feature not common in a watch priced at under $550.? This unique balance of classic and contemporary styling with sport functionality makes for a surprisingly versatile watch that should appeal to a broad audience.Case: Brushed and polished stainless steelMovement: Miyota 8215 21 jewel automatic movementLuminous: Super Luminova C3Lens: Double domed sapphire crystal with anti reflective coatingCase Back: Screw-downStrap: One leather and one rubberWater Res.: 500 MDimensions: 44 mmThickness: 15 mmLug Width: 24 mmCrown: Dual screw-downWarranty: 1 yearThe face of the Regattare is where it gets most of its sportiness, with yellow hash marks for the hours and red and whit

World Timers
Curious and would very much like to hear from our resident experts (if I may impose):1. Do you guess that the 5131R will be as limited as the J and G or will Patek produce more of these and be easier to get? I looked at an older thread on this topic, but perhaps more insight now. How impossible is it to get at retail pricing for a mere mortal such as myself?2. I like the 5110P. The hands seem small and time difficult to read; is that true? How does it compare in size to a 36mm Rolex Day Date (any pictures)?
