Greiner Taktlos Erotic Watches Make Me Giggle Like A German School Boy (NSFW)
OK, OK, you can't start reading this article on this god-awful watches without doing the following first - I am trying trying to give you the full Greiner experience! Click the following link that will open in a new window. Start the video about Greiner, and ideally have it playing in a window next to this one. I really Gunter himself to present his ballet of "automatons doing it" in one of his watches personally to you.Hailing out of Schondorf in Germany (where else would "Schondorf" be?), Greiner is a watch store and workshop. These guys make some delicate hand engraved mechanical watches (that seem like a bit of a waste of time if you are trying to actually sell them). Along with them being quite silly erotic timepieces, they are probably the most amusingly ridiculous erotic watches that I have ever seen (that yes, makes me laugh like my name is Hans and I am in grade school in Rechberghausen!). "Handmade in Schorndorf" baby! My favorite has to be the Taktlos Golf. Just an innocent
A visit with my first WIS friend... GTG
Dear TRF Friends...Please allow me to share this great story with you about my recent GTG in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Before I begin I would like to tell you how I meet Michael (ap_mike)... Michael and I meet on a watch forum about 5 1/2 years ago when we were both new to collecting watches. We then had the opportunity to meet in person at a big Rolex GTG in London 5 years ago where our friendship grew at a more personal level. Over the years as our passion for watches grew we consulted each other on different brands and watches we were persuing... From Omega to Rolex to AP and PP...So last week I had the opportunity to meet up with Michael as I was operating a flight into Colombo. We had a great time catching up and sharing our small watch collection with each other... Here are a few snaps from our GTG...This was my very first overnight stay in Colombo Sri Lanka... It's an absolutely beautiful country... I only wish I had a few more days to travel around!Over looking the Indian Ocean...
Dallas RSC
Hello all, I'm thinking about sending an Explorer I to Dallas for it's basic 7 year maintenance. Anyone have any recent positive/ negative experience with this? What has the turnaround time been like?
Rolex ADs in Sydney- first impressions. Advice welcome!
So I’ve been wanting to get a “real” watch for a while and I thought I would finally get around to trying on the different styles I am interested in.I went to three ADs in Sydney- J Farren-Price, The Hour Glass and Swiss Concept (in that order). The service at the first two dealers were superior to the last one I visited. I felt the women who served me more more professional and more approachable than the last guy (you can pm me if you would like names). Additionally, the first two were able to offer me a similar discount, whereas the last place refused any negotiation at all. The watches I looked at were TT lady Date Justs with silver dials and most had diamond markers (pictures below). The prices I got quoted were on the 28mm TT date justs with diamond markers. Only one place (The Hour Glass) still had the 26mm in what I would be interested in. I did try on ones with a pearl dial and diamond markers, but I felt it was not practical as it was more difficult to read th
DeepSea James Cameron at my AD
I wish I was in the market for a DeepSea Cameron. My AD has one in stock right now. Aren't these a little difficult to get?
