Breitling Introduces the Superocean II
Over the years the Superocean has been a mainstay of Breitling's watches, moving through a variety of different designs and variations. But this year Breitling has brought out a new generation altogether: the Breitling Superocean II. Let's take a look to see what distinguishes this new watch from its forebears.First launched in 1957, the original Breitling Superocean was water resistant to 200 meters, making it inarguably a serious divers' watch. But that's been far surpassed now: recent versions of the Superocean have been water resistant to as much as 1,500 meters. In the last few years, it's also come to have an in-house movement, Breitling's Caliber 17, based on the ETA 2824-2 with quick-set date. This movement is also to be found in the new Superocean II.In developing the Superocean II, Breitling has made some subtle but important design updates. The font for the numbers on the rotating bezel is less stylized than on Superocean, and this bezel now has a luminous dot at 12 o'clock.

Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500M And Grand Carrera Calibre 36 Watches
The two watches who received the award are the new Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 and the Aquaracer Heuer new tag 500 M Calibre 5 movement. The Grand Carrera Calibre 36 is a strange watch with a concept of sound design for measure 1/10 of a second accuracy in its complication chronograph - in a unique way. The best way to appreciate it is to see the video here. This is a cool concept, but will not be a seller of volume high as the Aquaracer 500 M. the new Aquaracer model is very well done - really advance the concept of a "professional diver watch" for Tag Heuer. It has an automatic movement, 500 metres from the resistance to water and comes in different colours and materials that each have a strong industrial feeling which is still being a timepiece inline good taste. Seeking Advice Regarding a Patek
I'm an old retired guy who developed an irrational interest in watches only a few years ago. I'm not wealthy but I've managed to acquire two nice watches in the past two years, a stainless steel Breguet Marine and a rose gold JLC MUT Moon. Recently I've been strongly tempted by a yellow gold Rolex Day-Date but I've found it difficult to open my wallet that wide for a Rolex. I'm beginning to agree with my wife, who thinks that a YG Day-Date is too blingy for me. I think I might prefer to sell my JLC and replace it with a modest manual wind Patek Philippe. The PP models that appeal to me are the Calatrava 5119 (J or R) and 5196 (J or R) and the Gondolo 5124J. I love the art deco styling of the 5124J but would also be happy with either of the more traditional 5119 or 5196. Can you give me any advice regarding the relative merits of the three PP models I've mentioned?
