I have been promising myself an automatic for years and finally pulled the trigger on this last week. Was worried that with already having a SMP I should have gone for another brand but I'm delighted I did not. They have similar DNA but fill completely different roles.

I think I have wanted to see the shuttle launch since it first started flying. I have a good friend and we've been talking about it for the past 10 years and realized we'd better get going as there were only 4 remaining before the shuttle is retired later this year.We watched the predawn launch from a friends house about 20 miles south of Cape Caneveral. IT WAS AWESOME! Now we've decided we have to go back to the next launch in July (3rd to last) too.After the launch, we went out to the Kennedy Space center. Having an extra 5711/1r with trade idea
Hey gang,So in searching for my first Patek a 5711/1r (and buying it at a fair price) I have since found another that a dealer worked really hard to get me. Wanting to reward the dealer and build a relationship etc. I plan to buy it.Is it reasonable to think that I might be able to trade it for a 5990? Would that even be a good trade? Seems a new 5711 is worth 45-48. Is that about right?Thanks for helping a newbie out!Justin p.s., will be at Basel next Friday night if anyone wants to catch up....

Any off the shelf product that would darken the color of leather?
Any off the shelf product that would darken the color of leather by just a little bit? I am not trying to change the color from green to brown, but making it slightly darker into a slightly darker shade of green. Nothing dramatic.
